October 29, 200817 yr Currently getting to 80 smithing via mithril plates and alching. However for future knowledge is it worth using the Blast Furnace for Addy+ and if so what are the methods as you'd need to bank. Ta Trust the Gene Genie!
October 29, 200817 yr Someone said to blast furnace mith bars -> bolts/knives. Alot less money made by the alching of the plates. Not sure anyway I dont need a siggy no moar.
October 29, 200817 yr Ehh... just powertrain without Blast furnace, it's much faster, especially if you're doing Addy plates. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
October 29, 200817 yr Author Someone said to blast furnace mith bars -> bolts/knives. Alot less money made by the alching of the plates. Not sure anyway Yes bolts/knives are better for profit but plates are much faster to smith. I make my own nats so still profit a bit, plus I get mage XP. Mithril isn't the issue, I was wondering about smithing addy/rune and whether you can speed it up a bit more. Trust the Gene Genie!
October 29, 200817 yr I find it quite contradictory that you'll be smithing Addy plates at Blast furnace. Whatever floats your boat, though. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
October 29, 200817 yr Author lol no I won't be I was just pondering the XP and profit margin with higher ores. If it is faster and/or cheaper to smith addy plates and buy the bars then I will do that. I won't be smithing addy plates for a long time. 80 is more than high enough for the time being, wanna concetrate on slayer/melee/summoning/prayer. Trust the Gene Genie!
October 29, 200817 yr Addy and rune would be slower exp, but more profit. You would be saving money on the coal needed which makes the profit more, but you would take a fair amount of time banking. I would think mithril would be the peak exp. Want to be my friend? Look under my name to the left<<< and click the 'Add as friend' button!Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^
