Big_Stingman
EDIT: I fixed it and it is installed! Woot!! Off to own the Japanese and Russians! Well Red Alert three was released today, and I went out and bought a copy as soon as I could. After dealing with some installation code issues which I found a solution that was put out by EA (Their fault because the installation code was missing the last letter/number, so I had to try over and over until I found out the last one was "D" -.-), an error keeps popping up saying it has an error accessing some movie file and that to make sure it has permission. Here is a screeny of the error, any ideas? EDIT: And yes, I did go and make sure the file does exist.
InkofDeath
Doesn't EA have support for this? I'm pretty sure it would be much better if you had posted it there.
Big_Stingman
Yes but they are dealing with all kinds of problems right now, mainly with serial codes which I had to fix myself, and they don't seem to respond to me for customer support. -.-
eggzs
If its possible, go back to the store and exchange it, if you explain to them your problem, they will most likely happily replace it as it is a faulty item.
das
I would reinstall the program. Sounds like that file may not of copied over. Big_Stingman
I have tried reinstalling, but it doesn't seem to work. I even tried using my other dvd drive but no luck. And now it seems that is not that specific file, but some files from the movies folder on the disc don't seem to be coping over. I checked out the EA forums, and it seems to be a common problem, so hopefully they release a fix or a patch or something. I really want to play this game! :|

VARN
Maybe you could try copying the dvd image and mounting it on a virtual disk, and install from there.
dsavi
That could be illegal, most EULAs prevent the user from making the game playable without the disk.
Big_Stingman
Maybe you could try copying the dvd image and mounting it on a virtual disk, and install from there. I guess I could try that...although supposedly they have instituted some really "good" anti-piracy software. But I laughed about it when I went on www.rlslog.net and saw that within a couple hours of released, a cracked version was already up.
