following advice from this forum i bought a zammy spear to complete a waterfiends task, thinking i would just sell it when i was done. when i finished the task it had dropped 50k so i decided i would try my hand at riding the market and sell it later when it was worth more money

 

 

 

that was 2 weeks ago and this is my situation:

 

 

 

 

i am looking for advice on why this might have happened, is someone controlling the market? or some other thing i dont really understand

 

 

 

and how i can avoid it next time

People arn't buying them so people want to get rid of them before they drop anymore, thus selling for lowest bringing the price down. Thats what i think anyway.

d spears are useless.

D spears constantly drop gradully and have basically never risen once since they came out.

 

 

 

They had a large drop so ppl r trying to get rid.

99% chance of it staying put or dropping

There was a demand for them when the Corporeal Beast came out as it was a good way to melee him, they will keep dropping for a while and probably stabilise at about 1M.

I'd doubt you'll see them going back up then

that chart made me laugh, it was extremely easy to avoid and it was your fault for trying to 'ride out the market'.

 

 

 

you should have checked the forums thoroughly before buying, when buying the spear if it was on ge you should have tried low price market then high price, thats the easy part i know.

 

 

 

then after you used it with the forum knowledge that people are buying it more than what its worth or if it was stable on forum then you resell easy, if it was crashing then you should have sold it for junk immediately, then used the junk later to sell something else.

I bought spear on the exact same day.

 

 

 

PVP came out next day and everyone sold and ever since its been going straight down. I personally use mine fairly often at fiends and dont plan to sell it. even though its worth 1m less now

 

 

 

The only advice i can say is if a major update is announced, the market could go wild soon as that is announced or released.

Trend for its use died, along with merchers hoarding them, they got epicly dumped and therefore crashes.

Well, with more better weapons comming out, I think that it will continued to drop to about 1m, then stay there, unless jagex gives a new monster that drops it, they it will drasticly drop. I would sell it as soon as possible.
