Is 1 Iteming becoming the norm ?

 

 

 

It would seem to me that in P2p [ RDK rarely venture into Ftp ] 1 iteming is becoming more commonplace and will be the norm before very long if it isnt already.

 

I can see why clanless players do it and even small groups of players but what i find increasingly disappointing is personally witnessing well known clans [ Leaders as well] either 1 iteming at the beginning of a pking trip or returning to 1 item and then on occasion having the nerve to claim a NH victory which i find pathetic.

 

RDK/TBE had a Allied pking trip on Saturday which ended in a massive fight which although was tremendous fun our opponents kept returning in ragger gear to 1 item us so in future RDK will call it when we consider enough is enough as eventually the 1 itemers will wear you down so why let them have the advantage of getting the more expensive kills at no risk to themselves.

 

RDK will start naming and shaming 1 itemers and post screenshots in the future and i hope others follow suit as i think this will help keep 1 iteming under some control.

Yeah I certainly see a lot of 1 itemers soloing.

 

 

 

Personally whenever we go pking as a clan full Addy is the minimum we are allowed to wear, and no teles allowed :D

 

 

 

I can understand why it seems that many soloers 1 item; If you are a large clan you are probably pking at gdz. Most of the soloers you will find up there are not stupid, they KNOW that large clans inhabit gdz and they will die, so they only bring one item. That said, we have gotten some full rune kills at gdz....

What y_guy said but also with the new random drops the possibility that you will get a drop worth a few million is alot higher with the new armours and weapons available. I don't think that helps with 1 itemers either. Saying that I am F2P and therefore have no idea what I am talking about in P2P anymore. In F2P it isn't such a big deal because the drops are generally lower in value than they would have been before the update (as rune/druidic robes are the most expensive things that you get from pks) so 1 iteming is no more of a problem than it used to be.

We did our first p2p pk trip as a clan last week and it couldn't had gone worse. We were hit by so many 1 itemers that kept returning that I don't think we are ever doing it again. We are just gona stick to f2p pk trips since they are much funner.

Well I think 1iteming in p2p is more common. I mean who wants to be solo pking in multi with bandos and an ags when there are clans with dds and barrage....

You see this a lot in PKers because they are usually trying to die several times before killing someone so that they can get a better drop. You don't see this a lot in clans because if they have a PK Run In, they'll want to win.

Our clan has strick rules about one item pk. You are not to go to pvp worlds even with friends to one item and can be punished for it. We have had big discussion on our forum and it has been made clear by the leaders they think of it as NH tactic. They have even kicked and banned members for such things since pvp has come back. We are not allowed to tele away either. All this is seen as bad for the honor of the clan and we are always a representation of our clan not just when we are with them.

 

 

 

I however am allowed to fish or skill in pvp worlds and carry one item to protect myself. Even a home tele would be allowed in this situation. I only go to p2p worlds to skill never to f2p worlds.

Players are taking advantage of the 25K minimum drop limit. To their logic: why risk full rune when a Rune scimitar will suffice? No matter how many sets you have, if you die, the other player will get the same system generated drop.

I don't mind the one itemers as much as I mind the people who run away whenever you attack them. I'm yet to have a 1v1 fight where my opponent didn't run away, or at least try to.
