chinesrat
Well now that im semi-retired from runescape. as of my p2p running out. I went hunting for new MMORPG's to play. I found a few free one's which caught my attention i tried about 4. Shaiya, Rakion, Guild Wars, and Silkroad. Most of them are confusing and weird, But i have to say the best one would have to be Guild Wars but buying it from the store isn't that good. Rakion is good gameplay and graphics but pretty hard to get. Silkroad..... :ohnoes: , and Shaiya is pretty good which i tended to like. But any of you guys have any ideas of any MMO or MMORPG that are good?

BlueLancer
Yep the title might sound confusing for some people 8-) Moving to video games though.. (For non-native English speakers: Game hunting generally means killing animals such as deer, elk, squirrels, wild boars etc. for sport or nutrition in real life) P.S: Try Age of Conan: http://www.ageofconan.com/

urbestfreind
Give WoW a go, currently the benchmark for MMORPG's. WoW isn't free though. chinesrat asked for a free MMORPG, which is hard to come by. And at $15 per month, WoW is rather far from free compared to RS. The only way would be to play on a private server, which goes down frequently, is highly illegal, and has a crazy amount of hackers (or the one I used did, then again it was like the only one with more than 100 people on at a time, we had about 5k on each server if it was online). There is a game I've been hearing about called Mabinogi, my friend says its really fun. I remember him saying something specific about the download, I'll try to find the notes on it. Something about if you get it from their downloads section, its in Korean, but there's an english version too. I'll try to find it, but I'll drop the links for you. There isn't much past those two titles really that are great in the MMO scene. You could try EVE Online (space based) but its pretty boring unless you like number crunching. You could also try Lineage II if you want a hardcore PvP game, I've heard that they upped the experience gain dramatically on live servers so its a lot easier (comparitivly, it'll still be slower than WoW or WAR) to get up higher level. Of course if you're looking for a free MMORPG that is an entire different ballpark all together, in which I think there are very few free MMOs that are even worth investing time in. BlueLancer
So is AOC considered rubbish now... I admittedly just tried the beta, but thought it would be worth recommending... I'm not sure if OP asked solely for roleplaying or just MMO, but Counter Strike Online fits that description, I've been playing mostly fps games in the past few years since they take more skill & less 'grinding'. OfT4A5fql_0 Good side is it was released just last month, it's very new, not many people know about it. The downside is that it's only in Chinese for now, had to ask for friend's guidance but I can try helping anyone with setting up the game/getting familiar with the interfaces 8-) (I'm level 3 so far, 2 V's) There are some entirely new weapons and maps compared to Source. Also the developer/host is kind towards players, just as a thanks for playing, you get a different 1-day promotional weapon every day after logging in. ThurinEthir
For free MMOs, 99% of them are rubbish, I found Silkroad fun for no apparent reason, but Anarchy Online and Perfect World are probably the best in general.
