Ancient Legion vs. Sacred Champions

Ancient Legion vs. Sacred Champions

It was a Saturday afternoon, one of our best times to do things, and Ancient Legion was looking for a war. One of our leaders, Golden arm42, approached some clans, who all declined. However, he found a match with Sacred Champions, an 80+ clan. After a bit of negotiations, Ancient Legion and Sacred Champions agreed on a fullout 20 minute prep war.

Prep and massing

As I said, Saturday afternoons are usually good for us. We had had a FOG event earlier in the day, and a few people were still on from that. When Golden approached Sacred about a war, we had seven in our CC. However, we got lucky: a lot of our members logged back in after an alert posted on our forums. We massed at the BH bank, and our ranks swelled to 15.

Sacred's starting

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic, but these were the guys who showed up for them.

Dager007 (Level 107)

Golden Gun27 (Level 103)

Conor0999 (Level 95)

Death7178 (Level 93)

Ipwnuwitrang (Level 88)

Kekokara (Level 85)

Krazycake400 (not on Runehead, but he was level 96)

Total pull: 7

Average opts: 95.3

So, to surmise, we had them outnumbered by a good bit, while they outleveled us by more than 10.

The fight

AL began by waiting for Sacred to attack. Our first pile target was Ipwnuwitrang, level 88. He tanked for a long time, but we managed to kill him eventually. In the meantime, Sacred was slaughtering our lower levels in the 60s. Next, we piled and killed Death7178, level 93. However, Sacred was still mauling our lower levels, and by the time our initial pile targets were killed, the score had been evened to 9-5.

From there, we piled Conor0999. We managed to kill him after a good bit, and then moved on to Kekokara. After Keko, we piled Golden Gun27, Dager007, and Krazycake, in that order, for the victory.

Cool looked neat.

Oh...that. This year, we drew a level 107+ clan. Better than last year, which was level 110+, but still, completely pointless.

Congratulations on the win!
