November 12, 200817 yr Well you could have permanently lent an item when there was no trade limit but the phrase "permanently lend" is somewhat of an oxymoron.

November 12, 200817 yr You used to be able to give someone an item of any value before the trade limit, for any amount of time. Of course the only way you'd get the item back is if the player you gave it to decided to give it back. Generally you would share items like dragon battleaxes for the special, etc.
