November 12, 200817 yr Well I want to level my smithing up as I haven't touched that skill in quite some time. Any advice on what I could smith to make a profit or break even? I'm thinking cannonballs but I just wanted other people's input first. Would cannonballs be a good idea? November 12, 200817 yr Canon balls are very slow, I say you do blast furnace.... Keep in mind he can't use the anvils unless he wants to pay to get in each time. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
November 12, 200817 yr Author So perhaps cannonballs to 60 and then blast furnace? Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
November 12, 200817 yr iron bars -> iron knives comes close to breaking even i think now. its certainly a much faster alternative to cannonballs. i would go nuts doing those. :wall:
November 12, 200817 yr I went 55-60 Smithing, smithing cannoballs and I died. I made money while training it, but seriously, just pay for the level. It's easier on your spirit -.-
November 12, 200817 yr Cannonballs only give you half the exp per bar, so they drag on forever. With about 12K/hour its not worth it.
November 12, 200817 yr I'd say make iron knives. I think you make a little profit. Went from 59 to 63 smithing with those.
November 12, 200817 yr making steel or iron arrows or knives isn't to bad. I remember a few years ago, I mined 7.6K iron ores, I made them all into bars and made arrows from them. I still have 30K iron arrows left lol. Iron knives on the other hand sell pretty good as do iron darts (and I've sold over 60K iron darts last week alone). Or you can buy iron ores and mine coal and then make steel bars and turn the bars into steel plates and alch them. Video Game Chat
