November 13, 200817 yr So I've become interested in the farming skill, but right now, I am currently a noob at the measly level of 51 farming. My question is, every time I farm a ranarr in My Arm's patch, the one that cant' be diseased, I always get a maximum of 6 ranarrs. This has happened the 6 times I've farmed ranarrs. I've been able to get up to 11 toadflaxes in that patch, though. Is the max for ranarrs 6, am I just unlucky, or is it because my farming lvl is too low #-o ?
November 13, 200817 yr Unlucky. # of herbs is not affected by farming level, herb type, or what patch you use. The only things that affect harvest size are type of compost used and whether or not you use magic secateurs. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
November 13, 200817 yr I've found that my arm's patch seems to give less herbs when compared to other patches. Just use supercompost in all the patches and it should help yields.
November 13, 200817 yr Farm toadflax instead, the seeds cost about 500gp each herb sells for 2k+ each. Not only do you risk less, but you also get more exp. November 14, 200817 yr If you're already using magic secateurs and supercompost, it just means you've had some bad luck, that's all. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
