Hajutze
The damage of the secateurs is based on farming lvl , and it doesnt increase with str lvl ... it seems to increase if your using piety and have str bonus from equipment ... there are 2 questions. 1. what is the max damage if you have 99 farming with no str bonus. 2. if no one knows , can you peeps grab secateurs and go fight for 5-10 minutes and tell me your farming lvl and the max damage youve done (with no str bonus , and with str bonus)
UnknownRemoval
I think you have had a bit too much to drink. I'll test my secateurs and stuff later. : Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
matrix2613
One thing though, you need total 130 Attack and Strength levels combined to get the defender, so maybe a zammy book instead. I would try it but I'm f2p, but a farming pure would be pretty awsome though =p woot. You are one with the matrix. Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Petry Amwose if you ask me. ladycai
I'm f2p atm, but my highest hit w/ secrateurs w/ str t ammy, rune defender, dboots, rfd dragon gloves and neitiznot helm was 12. That was with 85 attack and 88 ish str. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

Exodus_Flesh
I'm not going to lie.. I've thought of what a 'farming pure' would be like too in the past, when I found out how the combat of Magic Secateurs works. Don't get your hopes up about some ridiculous hit though. I really don't think Jagex intended them to have much of a combat use. That little add-on just seems to be a small bonus. Try finding someone with 99 Strength and Farming though, I'd like to see the results of that. ~Zackdt
D Jay99
I don't recall hitting anything over 14 while randomly killing a troll general during my herb run. If farming does affect it, it's not very noticable.
JoeDaStudd
Wow he wasn't talking [poop] For completing A Fairy Tale Part I - Growing Pains, you will be rewarded a pair of Magic Secateurs. These help your Farming skill and experience because, when they are equipped, they increase the amount of vegetables, herbs or hops harvested by 10%. Also, if you wish to fight the tanglefoot monsters, the secateurs are the only effective weapon. The damage you inflict with the secateurs is based on your Farming skill. I think the damage bonus is only likely to be against tanglefoot's though....
