So here I am doing a rare combat session fighting some monsters and was chatting about runescape classic with some guy. He says I dont look like I been around for 6 years....wuhh?

 

 

 

See the thing is, when I played runescape NON stop, the top armor was rune and later dragon. Then I developed a play style of one month, scattered across the years. So I dont really know what all the new stuff is about.

 

 

 

I have a dragon med helmet, D-long, Zamorak shield , dragon legs and dragon shoes and an amulet of power, this is all ive ever used really. all the other stuff is level 70 defence

 

 

 

i'm 60 def, what am I supposed to be wearing then? I guess rune n drag isnt good for my level...

Firstly, can you post all of your stats or a link to your RS username, and also a list of all of your equipment and weapons.

 

 

 

Definitely get a glory, or if you have enough money, a fury. Get into the warriors guild and get a rune defender, and complete MM for a dragon scimitar.

Sounds like you're not wearing any kind of torso/chest item.

 

 

 

Also get rid of D long, it's way outdated, use a dragon scim, or a whip.

 

 

 

Overall your gear is still pretty good, and also change your amulet for Amulet of Glory or Fury. And yes, definitely get a rune defender from the warrior's guild.

You have 60 def? Dragon Legs, Dragon Boots and your dlong is fine (when you get higher levels, whenever you feel you're ready, do monkey madness - highly recommended). You can trash your zammy shield and get a rune defender/obby shield though. Also, dragon med isn't very good, so you may consider using a berserker helm (and when you can, do fremmy isles for neitiznot helm). Your power can be replaced with glory or fury, and for a plate, a rune one will do.

 

 

 

I'm 117 combat and I use a rune plate. Eventually when you have guthans you don't have to worry too much on def.

Warrior/berserker/neitiznot helmet

 

Dragon scimitar (and then whip as soon as you can)

 

Glory amulet

 

Rune defender

Dragon Med is so nubby now. Helm of Neitiznot will make you look like you're aren't a typical annoying 12 y/o.

 

 

 

Dragon legs (or skirt, cheaper same stats) for legs would be good.

 

 

 

Rune Defender is definitely awesome, that or Toktz-Ket-Xil for shield.

 

 

 

Glory is cheap, get one.
