Kirtash
Hey. Just got a Waterfiends task, and since i heard they are really good crimson charm droppers, and im looking for 68 summoning, decided to give them a try. Looking for guides here, i noticed most people seem to agree 80 attack and strenght is the bare minimun to kill them, but what about the slayer mask? that 15% bonus is supposed to make 81~ attack & strenght... will this help? And btw, how much should i pay for a borrowed saradomin sword? the task should take me an hour or two, i think. Thanks for the advice :P. Yeah, suggesting that people with a dangerous predisposition towards addiction replace Runescape with drinking is a great idea.
Nopnoob
Use the black mask/slayer helm!! Wear Karils top and bottom > blk dhide top and bottom Just rest is best cape you can, boots, gloves, amulet. And about sara sword. Maybe you have a friend or a tifer that is willing to lend it for free  Dutchy
CampbellMC
Even with the slayer helm you are going to have a really hard time staying there for any amount of time and killing them. You will need to do multiple runs and spend a lot of money. Some people on here say that at 80+ you can do waterfiends effectively, I disagree, you can't kill them effectively till 90+ melees. Dharok's, piety, and 95+ in all combat stats only gets 110-120 per hour, max. But with 82 attack, 82 strength, and 60 prayer my friend makes a profit at waterfiends while getting something like 50-60 crimsons per hour, which is reasonably effective. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

curmudgeony
And I disagree with you. Bunyip and my stats (85 att, 88str, 82 def) gets ~100 crimsons per hour. Of course if you have a Bunyip, the urgent need for crimsons is a little less. Waters are a pain inasmuch as you practically need 68 summoning to go there, but need the crimsons from there to level to 68. With water's there is a great deal of debate as to what the minimum level for them is. Reports range from 80 to as high as 92+ in combat stats (def/str/atk). ilovecardj
I get 100 crims an hour with maxed melee on task (no piety or piety flashing) Its about the same off task with piety (same stats) at 85s thats an exagerations. Id say 80 on task tops, less off Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
Kirtash
So... after spending 30 minutes in world 2 G.E. and not getting a sara sword (i was offering 50k for 2 hours, is that a bad deal? really? <,<) i decided to go with a Verac's flail. At my stats, with a black mask, im getting 50~ crimsons/hour, 30-35k exp and minimal profit (but not a loss). The task is going slowly, but 50 crimsons/hour is the best i cant get atm, so im doing this anyway :P. Thanks everyone for the comments.
