Hey, I've recently started making Youtube videos for my Runescape achievements and such. I have seen other videos of Runescape also, but when I compare them to mine, the quality (even at high), seems significantly different.

 

 

 

I have heard there are certain settings you could use for your video to make the quality better for your videos, anyone know which ones? And how I would set them?

 

 

 

Tutorials, typed out help, etc would be greatly appreciated.

 

 

 

P.S. I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. ;)

Um nope, you have to pay for that, but there is a free trial.

 

 

 

Camstudio is an open source (free) alternative I have used in the past and is quite good.

Alright thanks! I'll give that a shot, I've heard about it, but I never knew the quality differed (thinking I had the registered one would be good already :P)

There's nothing wrong with using Hypercam2, I do. And my video's are fine.

 

 

 

The problem will be in the compression you choose. And the further compression when you save the video from Sony Vegas, try playing with a few settings, and fine a combination which works well :

Could you tell me those settings? :roll:
