Should I buy a shield or get a defender?

 

Should I buy d boots?

 

Should I get d gaunts or do rfd?

 

Should I spend money to get the herblore level for legends and get a legends cape or buy an obby cape. (Or wait until I could get a fire cape. :? )

 

 

 

And ranged wise

 

 

 

MSB or rune xbow w/ broad bolts.

Should I get d gaunts or do rfd? -- do rfd, fog gaunts fail in my opinion, but if you do, at least get up to mith, as black [bleep]ed vambs are the next thing under mith rfd gaunts i believe.

 

Should I spend money to get the herblore level for legends and get a legends cape or buy an obby cape. (Or wait until I could get a fire cape. :? ) just buy an obby cape for now. it has better stats than the legends cape and it would cost you more to get the herb lvl

 

than it would to just get an obby. but i would recommend doing legends anyway, its nice to have done.

MSB or rune xbow w/ broad bolts. -- rune xbow. much cheaper than anything thats worth using with an MSB, and probably more effective anyway.

I'd say get some defenders,get an obby cape and d boots.For range use rune c'bow with broad bolts on monsters with high defence.For the rest use bronze knives,because they hit pretty fast&good for their costs.

I'll assume that the outfit is for general use.

 

You want to get a defender. The strength and attack bonus really helps (unless you fight dragons or something)

 

d boots are worth it, but not absolutely necessary. If you have 2M cash, go for dboots.

 

I personally haven't done rfd, but have d gaunts, which are decent. Not that I use either of them. I forked over the cash for a bracelet of regeneration (800-900k) since it really helps with slaying.

 

Cape... get the obby cape. You can always resell it. Of course, skillcapes are best :P

 

 

 

Use rune xbow for ranged. Its power more than makes up for the slow speed.

Defender a definite YES. It's better for melee then ANY other shield, including DFS and Elysian. RFD is something you HAVE to do. Sooner or later you will end up doing it; make it sooner! It's really not that tough or long. I did it in ~3 days, without much playing, as a 103. Get legends cape; you'll use it latter, I still do occasionally for PKing. Broad bolts were the final nail in MSBs coffin, use them.

D boots is a yes.

 

I guess you could get d gaunts, if you're an avid FOG player and all..But I'd suggest RFD since its a lot less hassle.

 

Not too sure about cape, whichever you prefer really (I went with obby cape, although i killed Tzhaars for it) Go for firecape whenever you can.

 

 

 

MSB/Knives on mosters with low def (Fire giants, moss giants, rock crabs, yaks, etc) Crossbow for those high def monsters (dragons, black demons, etc)

RFD less hassle then d guants? Sir, have you done RFD? :shock:

 

 

 

Other then that, yes - bronze knives with void work very well on low defence monsters, but fail epically on high defence.
