No.1 is da best IMO. It is easy to look at and it is appealing.

 

No. 2 is bad. Too bright and doesn't appeal much for me.

 

No. 3 is okay. But what you did with this guy's hand is ugly.

Well they're not bad... but they're not exactly good either.

 

 

 

First- I think this one is a little odd.. the sharp dashes of light look like knives, and the puffs of red look like blood stains. Not sure exactly what look you're going for here... perhaps emo?

 

 

 

Second-This has some of the same issues as the first. I suggest you find a theme and stick to it... I'm not a fan of the little blue-stripey thingies flying about.

 

 

 

Third- Best here, but it still has a few kinks. The C4Ds aren't very easy on the eyes... Paticulary the big black one on his shoulder.

 

 

 

Verdict=

 

1st- 6/10 kittens

 

2nd- 7/10 kittens

 

3rd- 7.5/10 kittens

The composition is pretty bad on all of them. Remember that a good composition is not dependent only on the rule of thirds.

Although I do think #2 looks sort of unique, it seems quite random and messy but in a good way IMO.

I share the same thoughts. I think the first one is nice. I like the lighting, the colours, the tone, but the red (blood?) doesn't look right. It looks as if she and the background are completely together in a two-dimensional way.. because the red goes across her and the background almost as if she was a drawing on paper.. if you know what I mean?

 

 

 

I don't like the second one much at all. I'm mostly not a fan of the background. I love the colours on the people, but I feel like they could have done so much better with a new background. I really don't like the vertical lines.

Haha nice. I have had that for a while now as well. They all seem very meh.

 

 

 

Number 1s lighting is good, lacks composition though.

 

Number 2 looks kinda crap. I don't like it, doesn't flow that well, and looks really bland and washed out.
