this is my first pixel so far. i didnt realize this was so hard, so respect to all of you pixel people. im not very good at it but i think this is decent. give me some tips on what i should do to make it better and i need some suggestions for background. and this took me about 4 hours so flaming will make me pissed, i just want suggestions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Looking good :). You have your own little style going so that's good. My only problem is the highlights on the armor make it looks plasticy. I'll do a better post tomorrow.

It looks pretty funny so far. Something fresh and original...

 

 

 

Main problem is, as pointed out above, your kind of shading. Having no big contrast, not texturing (but this is kinda common so you can just go over it) and those strong highlights...make him look like wearing a silicon armor. To get an idea of what i mean...just take a couple comics...one with a Marvel superhero in it (fantastic 4 would also fit your color choice) and one with some medieval stuff in it ( Some Berserk arts would help a lot...but they'r not as easy to find as ff4...but Google is such a powerful tool). You'll notice that the most realistic part of the armor are the leggings, still lacking some contrast.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep it up but remember it's always better to have a clear idea of what your sig will look like once finished rather than building it piece by piece.

the face and things look like you tried to copy something from Quer_skull.

 

 

 

Your shading is a bit funky too yeah.

update. tried to fix up the shading a lot and started background. i think this could be sweet when its done, but i guess its looking wierd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think its looking better, but there are still a few highlights which look too thin, like on the upper arms.

 

 

 

The anatomy of the guy isn't too perfect, but I guess that can come later :)

 

 

 

Love the cape! And it looks like a great start, don't forget to add a bit of an outline on the body too (as long as it isn't black!).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Don't forget to add details on the castle, such as bricks, erosion, holes, etc.
