Farming isnt quick, its slow, but barely even a skill.

Takes 5 mins to actually get a level (kinda)

9-15 just plant allotments in all places, flowers too.

When you get to oak trees DONT STOP.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

First "I can spend a lot of money" : come to buy my bank junks

Farming is a long term skill witch is side-trained. It is definetly what is to get in mind : it doesn't work like other skills. Plants grows regarding real-time clock, not because you stay near the patch !

And it does when you are online AND offline. Planting before night logout is a good habit to have.

Herbs grows in 75 mins and flowers in 17.5 ! All other are multiples of it.

Doing that skill fast requires to make the highest number of farming runs per day.

Studying the plants growing times will allow you to program your farm loops.

Generaly :

- Herbs are to be harvested every 75 mins

- Low trees are to be harvested every 1 or 2 herb loops

- High trees are to be harvested once or 2 a day.

- Fruit trees are to be harvested once a day.

Being uber fast is being able to reach the patches at the finishing 'tick' time of your patches in order to make it work again before next 'tick' (reserved to very specificialists).

You will also have to supply goods to travel/skill : runes/jewels for tele, spirit birds for both bob and run energy... and seeds. This can be done when pants grows.

After some tests you will find your best way to travel along the patches with banking spots... and how to adapt when you fail (wrong teleport choice) or your plan die (nothing harvested = more inv space = less banking, no xp though !).

Then, when you will be ok with that program, you'll be able to check what to plant and then start to plan getting seeds if you want to go into a specific farming skilling.

You'll see i spoke about seeds choice only at last since it come to the last knowledge to have.

Now being a "All seed" farmer requires a wide bank space devoted to it since you will bank all your seeds... and keep the harvested items as farmer payments.

Being a specific farmer requires less bank space due to the very small number of seed types and payments. Once you have done a few, you get the mindset and can continue up to 99 without any change.

I do think that most people start the skill being "All seed" then goes to specific after they reach the level they get the mindset. This is the reason you cannot get a detailled answer.

What i'd say now (witch is same for every skill in fact) : plant everything you can up to 60 (Yew Trees). Then, start doing your plan on what suit you : blowing your money on only highest possible seeds, or using money making ones for very less xp.

Note : think about maintaining your kingdom with workers on maple for seed nests... and mole hunting/doing minigames that brings you seeds (temple trekking, vineswepper...).

I always banked every possible seeds and i was given/traded some from my friends who though they wouldn't (couldn't understand) farm. All brought me over 80 and i still have seeds coming in...

As a conclusion i'd relate that skill to herblore : both are so coneected, it would be a waste not to train them on the same time.

Good luck.

Oh baby light the dark side...

Unfortunatly he already has 99 herblore.

Plant the best thing you can, if you want to make profit, make sure to to rannars at 32. You will have to get into the groove of planting, doing something else for a certain amount of time, then coming back, and getting your plants, re-planting, etc, be sure to do trees as soon as you can. Marigolds, right now can make you alot of money, but I'm sure your not concerened about making money. So erm... just plant.

I went from 50something-70 by farming strawberries, nasturtiums and toadflax along with jangerberry bushes and curry trees. The herbs cover for it, and this is a profitable method \'
