i have no idea how to get one of these.i recently purchased a dfs and found out for myself,, its junk for slayer. people keep saying get rune deffender but i dont know how to. im 111 combat, 103 f2p, look up crystalbonez for stats.

Go to the warriors guild and do some of the mini games. Then, use tokens on top floor to kill cyclopes. They drop Bronze, then Iron and so on. You must get all defenders before getting rune.

Cyclopses drop defenders. After you get each Defender (Bronze, Iron, Steel, Black, Mithril, Adamant), leave the room and talk to the attendant. You can then go for the next level.

 

 

 

Also, get like 5 defenders. They're a pain and you won't want to go back.

still looking for a little more info, how many tokens per fight, and do i have to kill all the cyclopses in a row?

The amount of tokens that you will use vary. as long as you have the highest defender drop that you have received with you, you will be able to get the next highest one. Some people have used only 1000 tokens to get to rune while others have use 3000+. Its all up to luck.

ALWAYS right click a bone pile from the cyclopes.The defenders are underneath the bones.

Dragonfire Shield is not 'junk' for slayer. It's only useful against any dragon tasks you may have but dragon tasks make you a lot of cash if you melee them w/Slayer Helmet. Also, the Firebreath special it uses it like a guaranteed 25 damage to non-dragon foes. It takes only a few minutes to recharge it all the way.

That's why you use mithril armor, because it's so much cheaper.

Who told you to bring rune armor? Use black or mith.

Yeah, i'd just use mith. Its very cheap and is easier to kill than the addy.

That's why you use mithril armor, because it's so much cheaper.

 

 

 

 

 

Dragonfire shield is trash for slayer, only usable tasks should be black listed except maybe miths and wyverns, in which it barely helps anyways.

 

 

 

Defender is usually at least 5k-10k exp more an hour or more compared to dfs

i think if you lag out while your fighting it, the guy in the room picks up your armor.

 

i remember that having happened to me and i got it back somehow like that.

 

 

 

and generally a defender takes between 1800-2200 tokens.

 

i got 10 in 890 tokens. but im lucky.

Bronze and Iron took FOREVER to get. Once I got up to Mithril, I got addy and rune in like 10 minutes.

I'd also suggest to use a ROW, it seemed to help me out a fair bit with the speed of drops.
