Runescape Fullscreen closing itself?

Well I tried going on FullScreen to see if it was bad, and I almost don't lag. But while I was playing, it just closed itself. Is there anyway I can stop that? Still got a problem of lag tho.

[hide=Old Thread]Hey people, since a couple of months, I've been unable to play Runescape and enjoy it. I am unable to play on Low details with everything off, because I lag like hell. I tried everything, Opera, Firefox, Safari, IE8 and the RuneScape client. Nothing can make me play like normal. I update the new version of Opera and Firefox when they come out and I got the latest Java (Java 6 Update 11)

I'm using Windows XP, 254 mb of RAM, 37 go on memory (19 left). I close everything else I'm doing before playing.

Please help.[/hide]

254 mb of RAM,

There's your problem.

Uhm, XP + Rs only on low detail, he has enough for those. Especially when he says that he was able to play fine a couple of months ago, so unless RAM is temperamental than I don't know. Still wouldn't hurt to upgrade it.

Have you changed how you connect to the internet in anyway since that couple of months ago? Via wireless, physical connection, location change..etc.

Ooooh, I did change the way I go on the internet. I installed my wireless router so my sis can go on internet with her MacBook in the house, but only 1 mounth ago. I started lagging much later.

I tried going on FullScreen, and it's better. But Runescape just close itself while I'm playing. I tried it with FF and RC.

Salad, I have 4 questions for you...

  1. [*:s91uf0jk]What is your video card?

[*:s91uf0jk]What is your FireFox browser version?

[*:s91uf0jk]What FireFox extensions do you have currently?

    [*:s91uf0jk]What is your Windows version?

...to which we can hopefully get you back on the track to being able to play RuneScape again. Call me insane for even thinking it, but there might be an unexpected interaction going on between RuneScape and something else in your PC. TBH, I hope I'm wrong. :geek:

Only for reference, I'm having no trouble with the following archaic combinations...

  1. [*:s91uf0jk]Win XP SP1, FF 1.5-series, Java 1.4.2-series, ATI Radeon 9200

(not great, but it works in a pinch)

    [*:s91uf0jk]Win XP SP2, FF 2.0-series, Java 6u6, NVidia GeForce 7300 GT

    (virtually never lagged with RS)

(To everyone else: Please do NOT take this thread off-topic over my archaic combinations... I don't control the upgrade process here!)

In either case, try downloading the newest jre.
They already did that, and have Java 6u11... Any other ideas? Heck, I am in hope that my questions might lead to something that will help them. :-s
