Smapla
How does it take them a year to make a quest when people can make an entire game in a year? Planning, testing, coding, major bug fixing, repeat until complete. You must never have worked on a project much bigger than a few lines of code, have you...? I don't even know how to code. But people can do all of that within a year, and Javascript isn't even as complicated as other stuff out there, I don't think. For example, I wonder how long it took them to make Godswords. In my mind, you would just draw the picture, give it an animation and implement it however they do it, and make certain things happen using "triggers" and "conditions". whoa whoa whoa hold up there Java is to Javascript as Car is to Carpet. Runescape is programmed in java, it's something completely different from javascript. and no you don't just "draw" the weapon, you have to create a 3d model, make sure it has animations for all stances the character models can have... it's just so much more work than that. Trey
Somehow i feel like a really big hint has been under our noses for a long time... Guthix isn't shown in this picture because he's pretty worthless ;). This picture almost seems like guthix is being behind you in the shadows because he isn't as important and because its already happened. But this is just a random thought, what I'm saying could be 100% wrong though. Now there are still the two major gods saradomin and zamorak (I don't know if they will make a quest for bandos or armadyl). So i think its safe to assume that the next two quests will focus on them and will be followed by an even larger quest to end things off. This picture seems to show your path overcoming the gods trials and reaching the magnificent prize at the end of the road, some great unknown. (new areas, armour, items, anything!) "you also look braced for battle like something big is about to go down hinting at a super quest at the end of the 3." again its just a random though
Nenga
They dropped loads of hint. For example the Oracle was heard saying: The snake of Guthix guards more than she knows. Which was of course a reference to the fact that the Stone of Jas was hidden in those very caves. Then, in the Chaosudoku from the chaos elemental in 2007 there was a hidden clue stating: "Mahjarrat gathers an army. He shall slay many masters." Which of course came true  And then the Hazelmere prophecy which I can't remember word by word, but it said roughly that some men following the path of the slayer and some following the path of the warrior will gather in the north to fight the evil. Hazelmere's prophecy went something like this: 8 will go, 2 will return, one on the path of the Slayer, the other of the Warrior. And you, you will be dressed amongst the enemy, but you will not be one of them. Thanks : But are you sure the part about the player being disguised was in there? I believe it was, just not in those exact words. Maybe it was, I was still hung up on the part about you dressed in robes of evil but serving guthix. I don't know if that was the exact text but it was something along those lines. Ponies!
GGunitfan10
They said a while ago that it's had more development time than the entirety of Recipe for Disaster, which is over a year. So yes, it has been planned for a long time. That was for 150th which is not WGS

Please do find me where this came from, other than thin air (or your [wagon]). It seems to me that WGS fits their description quite well, being the first grandmaster quest and all. Although you are completely within you rights to go find me a quote saying this wasn't the quest mentioned in the future pvp updates.

Ixindor
I used to have a Dark Squall post here. The forum rollback destroyed it though. I didn't bring it back because there was some pretty wild speculation going on in the thread anyway. I think Darth Maul was involved. :? I personally was hoping Dark Squall was a good guy or at least someone that would lead to something good inside the Chaos Tunnels. Has anyone been back to the Chaos Tunnels after WGS? I wonder if he still wanders the portal system. I figured Dark Squall was a temporary teaser for an extension to the Chaos Tunnels. I was thinking he was there until Jagex was ready to come back and expand on the tunnels. But I guess not.
