December 8, 200817 yr I have heard from a friend (who heard it from rune wiki :? ) that shade robes are no longer attainable as drops for shade random events in F2p. Naturally I take anything I hear from rune wiki with a pinch of salt so thought I would check it out. I have checked the knowledge base and it still says that shade robes are F2p, however I haven't ever received robes as a drop. Does anyone know anything? Thanks in advance. P.S. I was thinking maybe it's a confusion with the update where shade robes were made untradeable but I'm not sure. Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.
December 8, 200817 yr I remember a while ago getting shade robes nearly every other time, but they seemed to have nerfed the drop, now tis like 4 or 5 shades before i get one. The only update to them that i rcall is making the untradeable. O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O OO O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O
December 8, 200817 yr  Shade Robes became untradeable? WTF?!? I used to ignore those all the time. Now I need some for my POH Storage collection. You mean, I have to go bury bones in an attempt to summon the Shade Random, then kill it and hope to god it drops the pieces? What a load of crap!
December 8, 200817 yr Author yeah it sucks -.- . It happened when they made spinach rolls and polished buttons untradeable, it was just that they never mentioned they did it for shade robes too. Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.
December 9, 200817 yr its like after they made them untradable they became harder to get that random also
December 9, 200817 yr I am level 3 and have a pair of Shade Robes :D How sweet is that? Got them when they were tradable and now they aren't so w00t for me :P Sorry didn't help answer question [/bads]
December 9, 200817 yr They were never attainable as drops from f2p or so I was told from many players and from first hand experience killing a number of shades over the years. I believe they were always dropped on p2p and those players used to sell it to f2p players.

I was looking forward to getting a set, not for training but just for their F2p 'rarity' :( Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.
