Please correct above paragraph as the slayer ring can be used by anyone, even those who have not navigated lair earlier.

 

 

 

I just got the slayer ring, teleported and slayed Tarn and I have not navigated the lair earlier.

We'd need a confirming report - anyone could use it for the first week or two, and then several people reported that Jagex changed it so that you had to do the mini quest first.

You must be done the Haunted Mine quest to be able to use this feature. You DONT have to have already navigated through the maze, as I tried it 3 weeks ago and it still worked. A friend of mine tried the same thing, but hadn't done Haunted Mine quest and said it didn't work.

 

 

 

Please be sure to confirm the part about having done the Haunted Mine quest, as for using the ring, Jagex hasn't changed that yet :

I used the slayer ring to teleport to Tarn's Lair before ever completing the maze. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of it because I didn't realize it at the time. Hopefully someone here can vouch for me.

Yup I met with Killerred at the Armoured Zombies area and he told me I could tele right to the entrance of Tarn's hideout without navigating the whole maze. Although I have a picture here, it doesn't really proved that I didn't navigate the entire maze beforehand... = P

 

 

 

Maybe some crewbie who hasn't done it can go test it out? :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

I tele'ed right outside this place when I rubbed the Slayer ring.

If you had just unlocked the Music Track, that's good proof that you had never been there before :D
