fallout
As I understand, Black Demons in chaos tunnels are best when ranging? Or can I range waterfiends with 40 def, 1 pray and 88 range? What other alternatives are there?

llamster
you cant range waterfiends you will get destoryed Huh? Waterfiends don't hit any harder if you're ranging than if you're meleeing. Besides, you can safespot them once they become unaggressive. It's very inaccurate, though. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Foooman
I would sugest either Black Demons or Dust Devils, both have a decent crimson drop rate and are easily safe spotted. And as for ranging waterfiends, it is painfully slow at 99 range.
muggiwhplar
Waterfiends are fine... you can range them from safespots if you just bring food to protect you till they become unaggressive In the northern area of the waterfiends west of the river, there's rocks you can trap them behind. Use a rune c'bow though - their attacks are about knife/dart-distance so any long-range attacks that reach further than that will keep you safe. True, but with 40 defense and 1 Prayer, I'd say it'll be far too much of a hassle to even stay that long to make them unagressive. Meh it's only about 10 minutes or so... after that he can stay there forever theoretically

Meh it's only about 10 minutes or so... after that he can stay there forever theoretically That's not the best option, as Range pots helps a lot... It would still be the fastest option, though... It really would be a huge hassle :XD: It's just hard for a Pure to train Summoning, because Waterfiends is meh and Rock lobsters are impossible. If you're leaning more towards xp and little Summoning xp, you could go to Black demons. They're easy to range as a pure...
