Commando1213
I had idea a couple of days ago, wouldn't it be so much easier to market items with a line graph that kept track of the item's price over a set amount of time? Something like this: Price of Daggers over 7 months (in GPs) The idea would be to buy the item when low and sell when higher so you can predict the market, just like the US stock market! Please only give Constructive criticism and ideas. Thanks to RuneHQ for the Price Lists!! Supporters: 1.tyluke 2.Yomyth105 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Tim_Finch
The grand exchange database has the exact same thing you just suggested. Unless you're talking about placing multiple items on one graph.
BloodArgon
He is saying over a set amount of time. Iv been in situations where I wished the GE graphs would go back further. Most likely due to space restrictions in the database, but, if possible, a graph going back at least 6 months would be very nice. This would allow for good market analysis. If an update caused a price fluctuation, we would be able to see it, to see if it permanently effected the price. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Commando1213
I didn't know there was something like this in the GE :wall: :wall: :wall:  . If anybody here lives in the US, just look at the stock market and how it's really messed up, if you bought during this time, then when prices increase you can sell for more. Ex. I just bought 1k addy daggers for 500gp each (50,000gp) when the prices are lowest, then sold them when the pirce looks the highest, lets say around 750gp each (75,000gp). Thats a 25,000 return on your investment, therefore making marketing easier.
tyluke
I support for these two reasons The Grand Exchange needs to be able to -View past prices of atleast 6 months in the past -Compare two or more items to see if there is a connection in pattern or price only 2 skills below level 50 :)
Will H
There are some things which I would like to see on the GE price graphs, it's a good idea which deserves expansion. For example, I like the idea of a graph which tracks multiple prices, but it will work especially well if you could select a logarithmic scale, otherwise you end up with the graph which the OP has just shown, which is not very clear for low value items when put together with comparatively high value item. Since it's 'Upgrade Year', or so I've heard, we can expect some improvements to the GE database to make it more intuitive. Actually, it's probably possible to do this update ourselves, in the micro-helper. ~ W ~
Yomyth105
I agree that the Grand Exchange Database really needs some kind of makeover. I am thankful that there is actually one out there since there really wasn't one after the GE was just introduced... so here r my views and suggestions on what is needed to be put into it: - the database first off must be cleared off by all bugs (remember when corrupted pvp weapons were out) - the database must be bigger so u can look at the price of items over a longer span of time - the database should let u compare two different items or more items - the database should let u compare similar items... whether it be and dragon dagger and a rune dagger or gold ore and gold bars. something like this would be perfect for me. -names should be changed.... saw this one in a rants of this forum where some items r named strangely like drag dag rather than dragon dagger. thats basically it for me. when i think of new ideas ill post and anyone wanting to add on to the list is more then welcomed to do so. and for the record, I SUPPORT!
