training in "controlled" for combat

heya,

I'm currently on my way to leveling all combat stats to 70+ at experiments.. So, I was wondering would it be more efficient to train all, attack, strength, defence, all each first to 70.. or just slowly use Controlled ? would controlled also be better for leveling up HP?

cheers

If they're the same level or near to the same, then controlled is fine.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

HP lvling speed is the same on all sort of attack styles.

It is faster to do it one skill at the time because you will get 4 xp every hit.

With controlled you get 1 xp in att, str and def every hit, which adds up to 3 xp every hit.

Correct me if I'm wrong. :P

It sounds as if you don't yet have 70 attack so you can't wield a whip, which is probably the best weapon to use controlled on. I really suggest you train attack and strength till level 70, then use a whip to get defence to 70. After that, use controlled. :D

And hp xp is always the same, no matter what method you use.

It is faster to train them all separately in this order Att -> Str -> Def.

With higher attack you hit more often, hitting more often leads to faster str exp. With higher attack and strength you hit more often and higher which leads to faster defence exp. You should switch from each one every 5-10 levels. So get 5 attack levels then start str, get that then start defence... rinse and repeat.

Once you hit 70 attack str and def you might want to train your skills in order of strength first then attack and lastly defence. This is what everyone mainly does. Strength is usually the first skill trained, then attack and finally defence.

Some may argue that having to drop a whip for a str training weapon decreases the amount of exp/hour you get however the difference between exp/hour with a SS (saradomin sword) and a Whip+Defender is maybe 5-8k MAX which does add up but taking into consideration with higher str and att levels you will be gaining your defence exp at a rate greater than 5-8k exp/hour if you were to train on controlled I'd say that argument is silly.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
