So I just decided to start playing runescape again but... I got hacked. I lost all my gear and anything of value in my bank. Luckily whoever hacked my character turned it into a green dragon bot so I gained 5 defense levels and I had about 10m in green dragon loot. After spending a lot of it I have 2.5m left. Can anyone recommend a low-teir setup for slayer? Also, are there any updates I should know about that have happened since last May?

I want to burst lobs but its hard to get the people you need to get in. My friend told me about a chat named bursting lobs but all the variations of the spelling I've tried don't work. Help?

I know there was a great guide to rock lobsters at one point and I used it to get my equipment and now that I have the money for the supplies I can't find it. Searching doesn't help and I've gone back 5 pages in the archive of wisdom. Help?

OP should want a chaotic anyway, so he's only saving time by getting it sooner. True, but he might be a casual player. 85 Dung is a large goal. I don't really care about chaotic... I hate dung too much to get 85. I'm glad someone actually gave me something I can do except merching though

So I've been farming and using my kingdom to make money for a long time but with the crash in herb prices, I can't rely on it anymore. I'm not interested in killing the KBD or TDS' or any boss monster so please don't recommend them.

I've never heard anyone suggest steam runes as good xp, I probably would've just told you law runes 4. I wouldn't bother with chaotic but I hate dung so... 5. I haven't done slayer in a long time but I know you should definitely cannon dags, aberrants, and greater demons if you're willing to risk the rev dungeon. I'd block black demons for sure but other then that I block tasks I just don't like 6. Its up to personal preference, I've heard prayer pots are the most efficient use of your money but I just do the highest potion I can to make it go faster. 7. Yes. String jewelery for sure.

The wildy agility course is probably your best bet at level 62. I know a lot of people don't like that place anymore though so if you want you can probably train at ape atoll. Bring a lot of cakes though

Yes, this is how it works. Jad has a pre-attack animation, and then starts his attack animation afterward. You have the duration of the pre-attack animation to get your prayer in place- that guy didn't manage it, but he DID have his prayer on before the damage splat connected. Lo and behold, he still got hit, by magic, even though his protect from magic prayer was on at the time. This was in 2006. According to Snipers, back that long ago he would have lived as long as he had his prayer on before the splat hit him, which is clearly not the case. You're right. I think what happened was for most monsters the attack animation and the damage splat was pretty much simultaneous before and then after runetek5 they increased the time of the animations.

Yeah trust me, I get it. I really don't know, I never did jad and if his mechanics worked the same way I think all the other monsters mechanics worked then it would've been impossible to kill jad. Then again I always remember hearing they made jad easier so that might've been how it worked before EDIT- Ah I see Quy. Makes sense.

Well my video and the other video that I showed just to cite the description box were made AFTER the update. The one video I found pre-runetek 5 was of a guy who wasn't good enough at prayerflashing to illustrate my point. If I had known that they were going to **** up prayer flashing and I was going to argue with some guy about it on tip it I would've downloaded fraps and made a video back then but obviously I can't see into the future.

YES Not only that but before you could've turned on your prayer the INSTANT you got hit and it would work but now you have to leave your prayer on for a little longer for it to take effect if you will so you can't save as many points, or at least that's what I've noticed. EDIT- And I really can't tell what's going on in that video to be honest with you. That guy wasn't recording his sound and I've never done jad so I don't know how it works. Although you have a point. If the damage was calculated when the animation started then you would have no chance against jad...

If you watch my video to a later point you can see I can still prayer flash, just not as effectively. In this video you can see in the description he mentions that people said prayer flashing didn't work anymore because of runetek 5 and he mentions you have to change your timing. THAT is what I'm talking about! The video I showed is useless for this point because.. well to put it bluntly the guy wasn't that great at prayer flashing. He could've saved more points by turning on his prayer later back then.

So about a year ago prayer flashing was different, then after the runetek 5 update prayer flashing changed and made it to where you can't save as many points as you used to be able to. I know this was a long time ago but I feel like I'm the only one who noticed this.

Were you even listening to the video? Before the untold update what I was doing would've worked. Now that I watch the other video more closely I can see that they didn't change the timing of anything, they changed the length of the hitting animations. I can't find anyone on youtube who was able to do instant flashing so whatever, I can't prove anything and all I can do is hope that someone else noticed this

Well first I would need to lrn2get92pray. That's a story in itself anyway, I used to be able to prayer flash so well I would use 5 prayer points total in a slayer task flashing piety and then they updated the way that attacking works so that the game calculates the damage at the beginning of the animation instead of the end and from then on I never got good at it again. What was the perfect timing before became 2 seconds too late. This never happened, I've been flashing piety since about a month after the update to prayer that made it possible (the one that made you keep attacking when swapping prayers instead of having to reclick every time you change prayer). I also used to watch my exp to see what I was going to hit before I hit it back in ~2004 or earlier, and it always calculated the hit at the same time as it does now. Sounds like you never learned to flash prayer. You should probably learn it, it's useful. Yes, I did learn how to flash prayer. Before some update (I quit and came back to the new system so I don't know exactly what happened) I would flash the prayer right before I got the splash on me and I would never get hit. Then when I came back I would do the EXACT same thing and it wouldn't work. I started flashing the prayer right before the enemy started the animation to attack me and it would work. The main problem is that before you could flash the prayer to within a second but after whatever update it seems like your prayer has to be on for a second or two before it actually takes effect.
