I was working out, so no. Bit difficult doing squats in pitch black.

 

I think it's a little bit nonsense to be honest, people sitting at home watching tv and then having to be reminded to turn of the lights. It should be done automatically.

My sister is a bit hypocritical for instance, runs around and turning the lights off "ahhhh it's earth hour" and then the other days she leaves the tv on, all the lights and blablabla.

No, because the chances are people were so bored during that hour, that they jumped into their gas-guzzling cars and [bleep]ed up the environment some other way whilst deluding themselves into thinking they were "doin it rite".

I plan on celebrating by buying a 1000 pack of Styrofoam cups, 20 6-packs of coke, setting the cups on fire, and dumping them into the local river along with the plastic rings that hold the coke together without cutting them. I'll then put the empty aluminum cans in the trash can.

 

Then, I'm going to set fire to an old set of tires, puncture a few aerosol cans, and idle my SUV.

 

After all of that, I'll have a grand finale and break a few dozen compact fluorescent bulbs by chopping down the largest tree in the woods.

If that's how we're representing how we protect the environment, then we're doing something horribly wrong. The solution is renewable energy and more energy efficient technology, not removing ourselves from it.

Yeah, didn't do it for that long though after I realized how difficult it was doing coursework in the dark.

I did the lights just 'cause I normally do. Not hard to use a computer in the dark.

I think they used these hours because it's so dark out, and so many people would normally have their lights on.

 

My lights are off, because my family wants to. I personally could care less.
