UnknownRemoval
Well, just now in the game I am currently looking for some new things to do, mainly advice or help on lower skills to raise, not really into mini-games much. I am currently poor due to some 'mistakes' and have about 12M bank wealth. So, if you have any ideas on skills to raise and how, what profits at what, post. Now. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player

UnknownRemoval
I'm aiming to get 70 prayer after I make some more money (as it would cost about 25% of my current cash), cooking just for sharks will be useless, strength I am currently getting up to 80 (attack > strength), summoning I am getting to 70 once I have enough charms. Fletching, my fletching has been 92 for at least 4 years. If you find a profitable way that isn't stringing to get it up, please tell me. UnknownRemoval
Quests. -.- Do you have any ideas on any resource skills? I've done: Teaks at Ape Atoll, Monkfish at Pictoris and Kyatt Iron Mining. Anybody have any more 'fun' ways to train those skills? (woodcutting, fishing, mining). As I find them a pain to train and would like to aim for at least 80 in each. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
ladycai
I got the agility just for farming and other difficult skills. Screw GWD saradomin's camp now, when you feel like training combat and hunting bosses, then go  Long-ish post, hide tags are ftw [hide=Craft]Your crafting could do with some xp. Crafting emerald rings or tiaras (though they're only good for xp) as well as sapphire bracelets, emerald bracelets, or whatever whatnot later too could do as well. It's tricky to break even, but if you buy at right prices on GE and sell and right prices, you could even profit.[/hide] [hide=Smith/Mage]And smithing; I always said steel bars -> cballs, but training it by superheating mith ores would give you good experience in two levels. I calculated yesterday the amount you'd lose per bar; assuming you buy everything at middle price, you'll lose only 30gp each. Not bad for leveling two skills, is it? The spell yields 53 xp and each bar gives 30xp to smithing too.[/hide] [hide=WC/Fm]Though your woodcutting or firemaking don't seem to need "upgrades" with your levels, you can always cut willows north of the crafting guild or south of rimmington and burn your logs away in peace.[/hide] [hide=RC]You'll profit RuneCrafting now with air runes; each is 5xp (combined with FoG gloves, 10xp; I recently learned it's faster to craft them with Lumby ring, fally teleports and water runes/air staff or air runes/water staff) and with your level, you'll make 6x the airs per ess, so each run is about 168 airs (combined with Lumbridge ring hopefully) at 12 each is almost 2k coins (at a cost of 28 essence - 1.1k coins) so you'll profit 900gp per run. It's not much, but it does add up, and eventually, you could switch to earth runes, which will obviously give you less money but 6.5xp per rune (works much easier when you use varrock tele; 13xp per rune with FoG gloves). You'll make 3x per essence, and that's 42gp each; the cost of one ess is 42gp, meaning you'll break even entirely, if you don't teleport. If you don't do FoG, it'll just make leveling a little more difficult :x Just don't forget that earth runes are decent xp for f2p without gloves, and even more so with. Alternatively, in p2p, stick with nature runes. I used laws for most of my levels, but nowadays with the Graahks, Edgy tele, and house tele to edgy, it's very nice. Abyss or familiar teleport, your choice. Just make sure to throw in some dueling rings if you use Graahk.[/hide] [hide=Fletching]When you hit mems again of course. This is probably the easiest; SC knife (if possible) on yew logs, or stringing yew unstrung bows. Of course if you don't feel like doing it, don't :P[/hide] [hide=Mining]For f2p, the best of the best is iron ores. At 35xp each and 1 click with rune pick, it's probably the best experience out there, even for members who don't feel like mining granite. Plus, it'll really get profitable once you can mine runite, but it takes plenty of patience to get that far. Unfortunately granite still is the fastest, but most irritating unless you have an enchanted water tiara.[/hide] [hide=Farming]When you hit mems again of course. I did a combination of curry trees (YES CURRY TREES TO MY LEVEL) along with all allotments full of toadflax, strawberries/watermelons, nasturtiums, and bushes full of whatever bush seeds I pickpocketed. You'll see the little xp here and there help, especially when you're doing the Jade Vine or Vinesweeper for that last 3k experience. Your herbs will help cover for the possible loss you make, yielding 2k coins per, at 600gp each. Don't forget those secrateurs![/hide] [hide=fishing/cooking]Lobsters are fast and decent experience as well as decent money. You'll be surprised how fast you can catch 1k of them and cook them all :D Use it in combination with a lummy ring in f2p or just in fishing guild, p2p. Cook them later in the Rogue's den or any open fire for speed. I highly prefer lobsters > swordies even though I have swordy gloves because of their ease.[/hide] And whenever you're member, don't forget to visit Bert for your daily sand, Tears of Guthix/Distractions and Diversions/Circus for your free experience weekly :D Sorry I can't think of fun ways to train those three skills, but if you enjoy them already, you won't need to :P Don't forget to take breaks in between, like castle/clan wars, stealing creation, and the occasional bh. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
UnknownRemoval
I forgot to mention in Esc that my 'empty bank' means that my P2P -> F2P -> P2P time would be a whole 3 days spent in F2P. :wall: :wall: I will take your advice on farming though, since that seems to be a bit low for me, and also your crafting advice until I raise it up to 70 or possibly 80. And yes, I do all distractions and diversions that I can just now. No point letting all that money and experience go to waste. Thanks, even though most of this will be slower on P2P, I have my fail 10hp 65 defense (working on it) account to skill on. Anybody have any more 'fun' ways to train those skills? (woodcutting, fishing, mining). As I find them a pain to train and would like to aim for at least 80 in each. Yes, quests. They're worth doing. :P Well, for woodcutting, you could try burning the logs, or cutting a different kind of tree like eucalyptus. For fishing, there's always heavy rod, which is faster experience than monkfish and would train your agility a little too. Not sure about mining; that's not my area of expertise. cookie1762
You have a decent runecrafting level. Runecrafting will always make you money!! Can be boring at times, but if you use the abyss and tele to edgeville, its pretty fast paced. Just buy several glory ammys and charge them all at once when you run out of charges. Hope this helps! http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging:
UnknownRemoval
Woo, thanks for more replies full of 'madness'. : I have done heavy rod fishing before for a few levels, but I didn't enjoy the fact that I made no money at all, even if it was fast and with friends, not boring. I guess the new 'Cut-X' feature would be a bonus. I might do it for a while again. Thanks Troac. \ For Distractions and Diversions, I do the Circus every week as well as hunting most of the penguins that I can catch. Not really tried Star Mining though, how decent is the experience and rewards at my current mining level? Thanks Izakiwi. :ugeek: Hai Nicrune, I am doing a bit of slayer for 80 strength (also 65 slayer), but I plan to raise non-combat skills before I take this any higher. Runecrafting I have done for a while, and was thinking of maybe getting it to at least 70, maybe 75. My method involves buying 28 glory amulets though, as I can just teleport to Heroes guild with a full inventory of them, lasts a lot longer than a few. Ilu Cookie. :P So thanks guys for the replies so far, I shall aim for 80 fishing through a combination of Monkfish and Heavy Rod, as well as 70 Runecrafting, and if somebody posts some info I might take a look into Star mining for some exp and rewards. Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
