how do i get different fonts for my screen names?? Several of my contacts have them, yet i can't seem to find how to change the text.

Note: Before you ask, Yes i do have the latest version of Windows Live Messenger, the same version as my contacts. :)

I believe you can do this with alt codes, though I'm probably wrong.

Make sure you doing alt codes wit ha numberpad.

No, MSN Plus just places ugly codes into screen names/im conversations that is parsed when viewed by another client with MSN Plus. To those who don't have it, in my opinion, it looks like you choose your screen name by punching your keyboard. For the names, I believe it is alt-codes. I found a resource here (WoT Safety Card).

Like I just said above your post...while I'm not sure if it has alt-code capabilities, mostly everything else produced by the MSN Plus add-on is only viewable to other clients with the add-on installed, otherwise it looks like "S#([c=3]kill #(30-9-)C#($)aster". Seriously. Your best bet is to go find an alt-code website and skip out on this add-on that's riddled with nasty spyware.

You don't have to download anything, just type text in "Your text" and there are heaps to choose from.

They're in the sponsor programs that come with Msn plus.

The above post is correct. And even though they give you the option to choose what you want installed, to me it's a repulsive thought to have anything even related to having malware on my hardware. For the proof:

i've been using msn plus for longer than 4 months, my registry is clean of anything suspicious, my application data has nothing weird, nothing. i've had no problems with it. even on the few occasions i do use ie, i've not had problems with popups. all of those things are listed as symptoms of the spyware, i have none of them.
