I wonder if you only have the chance of encountering the egg if you have 72+ summoning.

Today is the around the 4th time for me of doing that particular D&D with no luck and I don't have 72 sum.

i'm guessing 72 is a requirement as you cant take chameleon eggs, or any other if you don't have the level, that includes you can't get a dragon egg unless you have 99 summoning, since you hatch it on the spot by kicking or clapping, you wouldnt be able to obtain it, so 72 would be a requirement.

But you can get a vulture egg before 80 (looks into bank: got 1 on the first accidental kill of a vulture).

yeah you could of gotten many eggs before summoning was even released

Some people just don't read the "this week's updates" faq.

"If I am unable to take the phoenix eggling pet due to already having too many pets, am I able to get the event?"

Due to the special way in which they are obtained, the phoenix eggling pets do not count towards the maximum amount of pets you can have at your summoning level. Even if you already have the maximum amount of pets you can have at your summoning level, it is still possible for you to get the event and take an eggling.

The level requirement of 72 summoning to tame the pet will remain unchanged.

"If I am unable to take the phoenix eggling pet due to not having the summoning level required, will I get the event?"

At the moment, if you do not meet the summoning requirement for the pet, you will not be able to see the event.

However, due to the special way in which the pet is obtained, we are currently looking into potential solutions which will allow players to take the pet in an unhatched form and hatch it once the requirements are met.

"The phoenix said the chance of an egg becoming fertile was 1 in 1000. Is this the chance I have of getting the event?"

No. The phoenix was referring to the chance of an egg becoming magically fertile, not your chance of finding one such egg within her lair. This phoenix has been around for a long time, and there are quite a few potentially fertile eggs. Your chance of getting the event is not 1 in 1000; it is significantly higher. To prevent further confusion, this line has been altered in the phoenix's chat.

You're right, I don't read it. Usually don't have to unless something's glitched or updated mid-week.

Thanks for the heads up.

Higher than 1/1000 :|

If it was 1/1000 and I was to bother with that I would likely get both pet forms within 5 and a half years..?? :?

So since its 'significantly' higher than 1/1000 lets presume its 1/5000... 13 and a half years.. Or 1/10000 - Over 27 years.

HMMM....

Seems a bit over the top much.. If that aint a mistake well.. #-o It should be at MOST 1/100 which is a VERY low chance considering its only a once a day event. It would take around 7 months to get both even when its at 1/100 to get. So 1/50 seems more reasonable imo.

I hope thats a mistake for everyone who is trying to get one.

they said your chances are much higher not lower

a lower chance would be 1/5000

a higher chance would be 1/100

ps. yes, you are mistaken but its okay, we all do it once or twice
