Otherwaise, they delete your account. This is why there's only ever like 150 people on at a time. There was a certain period of time measuring 6 months you had to have logged into RSC in. If you did so you can always access RSC on that account. Well if dune 2000 is anything like red alert (which was, and still is an awsome game!) than im definately going to give it a go!
