Those last 2 look really noobish though, and honestly, cant you afford 6k repair costs an hour?

 

or for the last 2, if hes rich enough he could use bandos tassets and plate, or a fighter torso

 

 

 

I dont think he has a torso, and I also dont think he can afford bandos.

 

And telling him to get torso would be a bad advice.

i dont wana start a debat on it, but ive always used torso for slayer and its always worked perfectly fine. sure may only give+1 max hit but when u do hundreds of task that extra 1 can add up alot...and its not like i need any extra defence

1) He has low defence, he needs his defence

 

2) He doesnt have torso yet, so why waste 8+ hours to get one, when for him, it isnt even useful? (If he likes BA, go on , let him do it)

 

 

 

(BTW, I use torso too if my bunyip is suffcient and I dont feel like praying)

I don't really want to buy barrows as i seem to have a decent all around def to magic/melee/range in this set-up.

Yeah black mask if definitely #1 for slaying.

 

 

 

Torag's isn't necessary at all, you're fine with rune plate/legs. (Change black d'hide body with rune plate btw)

 

As for defence (wow chill guys) just wear an obby shield - it'll do fine with the rune armour. Granite or rune kiteshield is a cheaper solution. Of course there's the awesome rune defender, but you'd need a lot of food on tasks, maybe even several banking trips. You could try dragon skirt also.

get atleast torags(>bandos) and atleast a black mask(>slayer helmet).

The trick to slayer is that u take the best equipment and combat method for each different monster.

 

 

 

So wear torags (for example) when u need massive defense, but use fighter torso when u want extra strenght.

 

Use magic or range when there is a nice safespot, and melee when the others are no option.

 

 

 

There just is not a single good setup for slayer.

 

 

 

so just get a good melee set, for the avarage plain melee monsters.

 

get proselyte for the prayer task

 

get full black dhide for the magic using monsters

 

 

 

whip is best weapon, but dont forget to take a dds for the specials

 

 

 

and most importantly: GET A BLACK MASK, and do the sumona quest (smoking kills)

Definitely need a black mask; it's epic. And everyone keeps saying Torags, but I used to do a lot of slayer before I quit (lvl 85 :D Never got an abby demon task though :( ), and I used a dragon skirt and rune top usually, until I bought a dragon chain because I had extra money I didn't know what to do with. I did just fine with rune and stuff though, so I don't see why he shouldn't.

 

 

 

I definitely advise a black mask though. Hitting that much higher is so much more fun, too. :D
