Forgotenn00b
With my stats (in my signature), what is the best method to go about killing steel dragons?
psvstef
melee while praying protect from melee, dont forget an anti-fire potion(S)
Aeon_
I don't know about inventory, but I think probably whip, proselyte(or initiate) plate and legs, neitz or berserker helm, if you have dragon RFD gloves or higher use them, otherwise use combat bracelet and wear dragon boots. Obviously bring anti dragon/dragonfire shield. Also bring anti-fire potions, super attack and strength and the rest prayer potions. Also if it's a slayer task bring black mask instead. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
ladycai
Melee is your best bet. The suggestions above are just about right. Bring a slayer helm or black mask if you're on slayer, and maybe a BoB if you fill your inv up with drops/bones. Don't forget high alch runes~ 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
Forgotenn00b
Okay excellent I think I'll go with melee then :)...it is a slayer task so black mask for sure though...I'm pretty much set with my inventory also...thanks!
cat666
I'd block them completely from slayer. Reasons: Slow kills Few spawns Irons will attack you too Largish tasks Long walk to them However they can be useful for mage/range training. Trust the Gene Genie! Forgotenn00b
I would block them, but currently I don't have the points because I just started slayer not long ago with the new point system

Try doing tasks from the Canifis guy, then on the 10th ones use Duradel. Fast points. Trust the Gene Genie!

If you've got enough money, you could buy a cannon. That would speed up the kills, and bring in fast points. Btw,cat666, that is a very creative username. I wish I had a username that was that neat. I can see how people would probably read it as "Kat-Ten" rather than Satan lol. :twss: Nechs require 80 Slayer and their main drop is cheap 50k rune boots. Give nechs a better drop!! Cannon at Steel Dragons?    Don't do this, just a waste of time and money seeing as you can only hit one dragon at a time, just stick to melee and use protect from melee prayer. Now if you meant for other tasks and not steel drags, then yes it is a great idea, but only if you have the money to buy the cannon (~600k on the GE) and the cannonballs (~200 gp each) [hide=Drops]Slayer:Draconic Visage x3, Abyssal Whip x23, Dark Bow x3, Dragon Platelegs x3, Dragon Boots x40, Dragon Plateskirt x4, Shield Left Half x3, Dragon Medium Helms x10GWD:CS: Zamorakian Spear x2, Zamorak Hilt x1, Bandos Chestplate x1, Sara Sword x1DKs: Dragon Hatchet x3 Beserker Ring x1[/hide][hide=Completed Goals]Achieved April 26, 2009Achieved Sept. 15, 2009Achieved Nov. 21, 2009 Jan. 10, 2010 Achieved Mar. 5, 2010[/hide][hide=Goals][/hide]

However on Runescape "cat666" was taken so I went to my second choice, Catten. Catten is a mix of a cat and a kitten  That was taken though, so I added the 666 to that. Trust the Gene Genie!
