January 29, 200917 yr [hide=Older versions] V1. V2. Fixed floor and table. V3. Added phat, shaded floor and other details. V4. Added Saradomin Sword and redid the candle.[/hide] Current Version: V4 I am planning to add there a bandos plate. Plate being on the chairs part you put your back against to. C/C? Perspective errors? (looks at venomai, Lexi and Ben) So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc
January 29, 200917 yr Your floor boards are what's throwing the whole thing off, making it look like there isn't actually a floor. They should do what the chair does ant appear wider closer to you and smaller farther away. Use a vanishing point if you're not already, it'll make things easier. The chair seat appears to be very thin right now, shade the front and you'll be better off. It also appears to have no back legs which makes it a little awkward. The shading on the wall looks pretty good, try to shade the mortar between the bricks, since that will start to get darker in the shadow as well as the bricks. I'd also do a little more highlighting near the candle and shadowing under the table, chair, etc but the main thing you should start with is the floor in my opinion. Looks good though, once the floor is fixed up it's really only minor details. Keep it up :) [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
January 29, 200917 yr If you used (yeah you did) perspective to chair, then you should also use same prespective to the ground and table. ----TheLair Game!----"Game isn't dead... You wish!"
January 29, 200917 yr Author Thanks. It seemed to me too, that the floor is very... inaccurate. I thought about shading the mortar, but that's yet to come. Pretty tired, aint gonna continue on this today. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. January 29, 200917 yr The lack of perspective on the floor is what brings it down; like Skull_Emblem said, use a vanishing point. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
January 30, 200917 yr Author Are the floor and table looking better now? Also shaded the mortar. When shading the floor, should I follow the line of the floor boards? January 30, 200917 yr Author Sorry for double post, but V3 is up. Shaded floor, added partyhat, made shadows, and added some other details. Now I can't work on this before next week, I am afraid. January 30, 200917 yr Change shades. I cannot show you how at the moment, becouse I have no time, but here is tut: http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/shading.html I mean, add more colors to shade. I hope you understand :) ----TheLair Game!----"Game isn't dead... You wish!"
January 30, 200917 yr Author I do understand, but this is details. It comes later. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. January 30, 200917 yr Author You mean contrast? I am gonna make the floor and chair textured a bit differently, so you will notice them later. But I said, I am afraid I aint gonna work on it before next week. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. January 30, 200917 yr Author Added V4, this time added the Saradomin Sword and totally redid the candle. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. January 30, 200917 yr Your problem is is your using way too many conflicting perspective points in one drawing! I know you want the chair up against a blank wall, but adding in a hallway helps define the vanishing point. Consider the following pic that I white lined. ..and a example from real life, also white lined. Furthermore, I'd suggest you pick a different color for either the floorboards or the chair. Or, you can outline the chair in a slightly-darker color. Here be dragons ^ Dragon of the Day
January 31, 200917 yr Apart from the perspective issue that Uno and others already pointed out, I think the upper right corner looks pretty strange. I can see what you tried to do with the fade to black thing, but the transition between the wall and the pure black bit is just too sudden, making it look like the wall just randomly stops there. pixel avvy by me deviantART
January 31, 200917 yr Its not that bad, but perspective errors need to be fixed, as stated above. For a light source, that candle is sure very very bright. deviantArt | A book without a cover | My poems | My SigsI'm an artist of words.
