The_Maddest
I would like to get 85 magic, fairly quickly (2-3 weeks playing weekends only) for teleblock, in F2P. I have a budget of around 500k, although I may well spend a little over that (nothing over 700-800k though). Any suggestions?

josh181830
If I'm using that calculator right, and I need 45k high alchs from lv 70- 85 mage; It'll only cost ~3 mil if I alch addy plates...? :?
The_Maddest
That's helpful, but thanks to the GE, all those items have 100 bought per hour limits so even alching 2k per weekend (one bought over the week and one bought over the weekend), I still need around 6 week to get to the level. Fekambard
Superheat steel or mith bars. Alot more clicking but much less loss, and near the same xp/hr as alching and able to buy as many ores as you want.

In my experience its been around 60k/hr against alchings 70k/hr but with less loss. EDIT: Superheating Guide here on TIF
The_Maddest
Not too bad. I've tried superheating before, but the 'click here, click there click a little everywhere' bit of it is quite annoying.

Well it seems the only viable option for F2P unless you want to pay alot more and alch.
hxecute
Try superheating iron bars if you want a little faster xp than superheating steel or mith bars, you can fit in more casts before banking. And using the second tab in the magic book, the position of the superheat spell allows for more casts without having to move your mouse, just click away, and the bars will keep superheating. Now the cost for me was 80k-ish an hour, but there's a little smelting xp too ;) And I used mousekeys on Microsoft XP so i didn't have to move my mouse much (google it) Not sure if it's f2p, but if you're superheating, use the shantay chest south of al-kharid, it's a one click bank, so you don't have to right click anywhere else. llamster
Superheating iron is the fastest xp in F2P, around 80kish per hour compared to alching's 60k. It costs around 1.7gp per xp, though, considerably more than alching. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

hxecute
But the xp comes in faster ;) I'm sure the loss can't be that much more overall :| You must be able to make the money back afterwards in the time you save. Besides, it's for teleblock, it's defo worth it \ I'm doing it too, til 85. Edit: Noooooo!!! I thought it was :( Are there any one-click banks in f2p?
