sloter
Macs are always behind with the GPU they use. Kinda pointless to spend that much money on outdated tech if you're interested in gaming. I wouldn't say there behind but if your going to be gaming other than RuneScape which really isn't gaming in my opinion i wouldn't get a mac. So i would tend to agree with you on this. Chaise
Looked at the HP again today and realized that maybe I should get a bit more processing speed. I was thinking the max, or is that not really necessary. ~~Chaise91~~
OldJoe
I wouldn't spend 300$ on a 500mhz faster cpu, 1mb more cache and a little bit faster bus. The T6600 is another option (2.2ghz - 100$), but really not worth spending 300$ on the P8700... You can get the i7 920 for that lol. Also remember the hd is only 5400rpm. But it's all up to you what you want. Faux
I just read the part about moving a lot, yeah get a laptop. I'd recommend something like http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 8041150734 Don't buy a Dell. You'll regret it. Practically the support I got when I had mine. [yt]Ryas9OANw-E hahahaha. who uses little girl as an insult? I wouldn't say there behind but if your going to be gaming other than RuneScape which really isn't gaming in my opinion i wouldn't get a mac. So i would tend to agree with you on this. I was actually being an idiot and just made a stupid statement. But I actually looked iup the specs on Apple.com for the $1500 iMac and the card they're using came out in 2007. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Bestbuy is quite overpriced, don't by from there but from a place having better prices, like Newegg.
Nadril
Bestbuy is quite overpriced, don't by from there but from a place having better prices, like Newegg. So that's why a laptop that cost $1,500 on Newegg cost me $1,000 at best buy, right? :)

Faux
Bestbuy is quite overpriced, don't by from there but from a place having better prices, like Newegg. Not in this situation. Bestbuy has small profit margin on high-end electronics. They make money from selling you insurance and accessories. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Chaise
Bestbuy is almost always the last to take the price down on anything they sell. Like video games will be 5 to 10 dollars less at Gamestop and Wal-Mart weeks before it's even a few dollars less at Bestbuy. Didn't notice the HDD on the HP is only 5400. I'll look for something that is at least 7200. I hate slow boot up. =/ ~~Chaise91~~
Nadril
I've said it before in other posts, but I think ShadowFax covered it well here. BestBuy marks up hardware a lot, such as video cards / hard drives / sound cards / ect. but they really don't mark up general computers that much. The big thing about best buy is that they are big enough that they can afford to have sales every week. Keep an eye out on the sales. Of course, well, I just looked at newegg and seems like they have a sale of their own: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834101166 The same laptop for $1,200. Actually a damn good deal still. :) I would recommend that laptop I just posted there, out of personal experience. (been using it for a couple of months now and it's great. Can play anything I throw at it).
