Necklace: Glory/Army Pendent <~~pendant best bet, i think you get from temple of ikov

 

Body: Black D'hide

 

Legs: Zammy platelegs

 

Boots: climbing boots

 

Gloves: Sara Bracers

 

Ring: Archer's ring/or ring of dueling

 

Cape: Accumulator

 

Weapon: Rune Cbow

 

Shield: Granite Shield

 

Bolts: Mithril or Addy. mith 80+ range addy 70+

My impression was that tanking meant you had high defense yourself, not just strong armour.

With your stats the prayer method would be a lot more profitable.

 

Since your using the trollwisse (sp?) tele then why the climbing boots?

 

If your tanking the pendant is a must, with low defence its even more so.

 

Why ring of duelling? Ring of wealth or life are better choices.

Also you wouldn't be able to use barrows armour such as Torags, so tanking is a complete waste of time for you; stick to the prayer method.

At 90 defence I only need 1 tab an hour...you must be doing something way wrong.

my impression is that tanking is being able to take the damage of monsters whatever the defense level is. To respond to the prayer method how would it be profitable when your spending nearly 100k - 200k on prayer pots? I just buy 20 sharks, 100 nats, 500 fires, 100 btp tabs, and 1 range pot and i'm good to go for several hours. Prayer method takes hundreds of thousands of gp away from your initial profit. I'm 50 def and have no problems staying alive, haven't died or had to tele once! So why would prayer method be more profitable?

This table should explain things. Since you don't need to bother about bones/food, them auto attacking you or high defence armour, you can get more kills per hour. The profits are less per kill, but since you get more kills in the same time the profit is greater.

 

You easily pay for the supplies with just the coins you get from high alchs, the only disadvantage is that you have to bank sooner, but this allows you to bank herbs and other drops you would otherwise have to drop to make room.

Yep, herbs make quite abit when you start picking them up.
