Hi ive just been hacked like a hour ago .My account was on mems .

 

 

 

i need to know if they can use my username and password to subsribe for mems. or do they need my debit card details . please help im really concerned.

From my experience which I wouldn't take for fact but I am 99% sure that they need your credit/debit card details. So don't worry too much.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe unless you canceled your membership before they changed your password then it will keep automatically taking out the payment per month... I am not certain though I am sorry about your misfortune though :(

you cant subscribe to members just from having someones username and pass

 

biggest problem is gonna be a bank including nothing (probly putting it all in a d party then loggin into other char to try and get :ohnoes:

If they get you membership and your f2p right now then it will bve them paying for it.

im not sure wat ive just done lol but i clicked on password recovery and entered all my information and it gave me a tracker id thing . i think i just locked my account is this a good thing?

If you locked your account then that means it cannot be played on. You can get it unlocked by giving information to prove it is you who is the owner.

Recover it via Recover password, write/copy the tracking ID down or into a word document, then follow what it says.

Well right now I don't think that taking your account off the card is a smart idea. The hacker can just take the account and make it a member himself, but if its under your name he cant renew. Then he will have enough\equivalent information as you and you'll just be recovering back and forth.

 

 

 

I don't see why you cannot simply use the information you have and change the password so this doesn't escalate and go out of your control. Even if you don't have all the information the tracker ID usually figures out its yours.

If you pay membership via CC your postcode is usually enough proof anyway.

They need card details, they can't get them directly from the account.

I don't think the government will send the FBI and CIA to manhunt a 9 year old hacking rs accounts.

If you are a member and you payed with a credit card, and you let it automatically resubscribe every month then you'll need your correct username and password to cancel it using Runescape site. The other option is to get the owner of the card (I presume it's one of your parents) to contact their credit card provider and have them cancel the payments. If you had to resubscribe every month, using a credit card or otherwise, it'll just run out when your current month of payment is over. Neither situations well give him any access to any of the card's information.
