Zaaps1
Right. The reason why I am typing this is because I have no sound on RuneScape. Yes, I have checked that my sound is not muted, yes I have checked that the sound in RS isn't muted. Sounds on other sites work, such as Youtube vids, but I do not have sound for Funorb nor RuneScape. I'm running a Window ME atm since my desktop is getting fixed. Yes it's old, but I doubt that's the reason. Thank you in advance. If you need any more info, just ask. ~It's Super Effective! I thought it was a Java problem too, but it won't let me install the newest version. ~It's Super Effective! Laura
I fixed the problem when I updated Java. I know you can't open it, to which I have little insight, but I do know the fix for the initial problem.

I thought it was a Java problem too, but it won't let me install the newest version. A MIDI is: (from wikipedia) "MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface, IPA: /?m?di/) is an industry-standard protocol defined in 1982 that enables electronic musical instruments such as keyboard controllers, computers, and other electronic equipment to communicate, control, and synchronize with each other. MIDI allows computers, synthesizers, MIDI controllers, sound cards, samplers and drum machines to control one another, and to exchange system data (acting as a raw data encapsulation method for sysex commands). MIDI does not transmit an audio signal or media it transmits "event messages" such as the pitch and intensity of musical notes to play, control signals for parameters such as volume, vibrato and panning, cues, and clock signals to set the tempo. As an electronic protocol, it is notable for its widespread adoption throughout the industry. So, my guess is that the MIDI is not communicating with the java properly. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

Dracion1
Can you be specific about what error you get when you try and update java? Do you have the latest drivers for your sound card? Also some system specs would be useful (go to run and type 'dxdiag'). "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." chazzycaz
Dont know if this will help, but have you tried clearing your java cache? It might give it a fresh start: To clear the Java Plug-in cache: Click Start > Control Panel. Double-click the Java icon in the control panel. The Java Control Panel appears. Click Settings under Temporary Internet Files. The Temporary Files Settings dialog box appears. Click Delete Files. The Delete Temporary Files dialog box appears. There are three options on this window to clear the cache. Delete Files View Applications View Applets Click OK on Delete Temporary Files window. Note: This deletes all the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the cache. Click OK on Temporary Files Settings window. Note: If you want to delete a specific application and applet from the cache, click on View Application and View Applet options respectively.
