im doing the evil dave subquest and i have a kitten but it doesnt catch the hell rats i caught 1 hell rat in the last hour.....literally. so am i doing something wrong or is this terribly bad luck :wall:

That part of the quest could quite possibly be the most frustrating thing I've done in rs. I would have payed 30mil to catch those rats. You're not doing anything wrong, that's just the way it is.

I like questing, but that part of RFD really irritated me. It takes a very long time with a kitten, as they can't catch rats for :shame:! You can either keep trying, or wait until it grows into a cat and catch rats like nobody's business.

You might have to trigger the event by talking to Dave and selecting one of the chat options in chat box.

 

 

 

I pretty sure that every time you kill a rat it drops a spice.

kittens: 15% chance of success

 

Cats: 70%

 

 

 

 

 

So raise your kitten into a cat, your chances and catch rate will have grown immensely making the quest done in no time. :
