Ezkaton
Seeing as i got 70 defence yesterday i want to aim to get my strength from 53 to 60 then my attack from 60 to 70. My current master is chealder, and i was wondering if i should change master, or who the best master would be to go to for tasks to level those combat skills effectively quickly - this is because i camped out down with the experiments for the past 2 days, and don't want to go there again for a while. Also what is the ideal slayer set up to wear on tasks? and is a black mask worth it? Sorry there are so many questions :-# Ez Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
Frostysib
Well obviously the harder your tasks you more you stand to gain, but you need to be realistic about what you can actually fight. If you're only interested in exp then there's no point fighting something you only hit every 10th attack. If Chealder is working for you then stick with her - if not, then consider moving up or down a master until you're comfortable, or when you just want some variety in your day. Ideal set ups differ from person to person, from task to task. Enhancing attack power as best you can always helps speed things up, say with a fighter torso, blackmask/slayer helm, rune defender, salve amulet (for the undead) ect ~ But this can be sacrificed for heavy/specialist armour if needed. Guthan armour is very useful, but even with it I still like to take 'emergency food' - just in case. ;D And yes blackmasks are nifty piece of kit. Kupo! transcript80
Buy a black mask asap. It is great for melee tasks, and almost all tasks are fastest/easiest with melee. If you have money (I mean a lot) buy a cannon to speed up tasks like kalphites. This is costly, mind you! As mentioned, salve amulet can be usefull as well, depending on the task. I think Chaeldar is a good master for you, bu don't hesitate to change if you don't like the assignments or find them too difficult. Vannaka isn't too bad... Maybe the quest "Smoking kills" is a bit too hard for you now, but if you have the required levels, do it as it helps slayer becoming somewhat easier. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
stormveritas
For high levels, the best "melee" master is Duradel/Lapalok, and the best master for ranging or mage is Sumona. Their tasks are scripted well to involve lots of tasks for those skills. Chaeldar is a good master for lower levels, but try the different ones. If you get Karamja gloves (3), then Duradel is very easy to get to. For range, you can go with black hides, broad bolts, and rune crossbow. Void is also very good. For melee, absolutely work to get black mask and / or slayer helm. Fantastic. Barrows armor is great value in terms of defense / $. Dragon boots, a trimmed cape, a fury amulet... these are all nice luxuries you can use or replace with the next step down. Experiment on your own and you'll find something that works for you. 66evilone67
I mainly use Sumona.I go to Duradel/Lapalok Every 10th Task for the bonus points and I use Vannaka or Cheadlar just for varity every now and then YMMV [hide=Stats/Goals And Drops] 3 - Black Mask3 - Dragon Med Helm---1 - Dragon Boots---1 - Dragon Spear5 - Granite Maul[/hide]
JoeDaStudd
Once you get slayer mask do Sumona, otherwise stick with Cheadlar. Sumona offers a lot of task which are best suited to the poli dungeon and without slayer mask there not worth doing. XSniperX
Black mask is definately worth it! :) I usually just stuck with the guy in Edgeville dungeon until 100 combat and then went to Shilo It's tough at the top ;)
Ezkaton
Thanks for all the replies, it's very useful. I went to chealder for the first time yesterday, and got set 113 Fire Giants...... seems like good exp too by my calculations as i'll get around 50K exp in the melee, range or mage attack i use on them Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
Cptbaker08
The best master he can use right now is Chealder. 85 combat is a requirement for Smoking Kills, and seeing as he's only 72 i don't think it's possible now. Just stick to Chealder for now and when you get 85 combat think about questing. And remember if you can't do a task you can always go to Tureal for a new one. Cptbaker08
I would use the dragon longsword as it's much faster then the dba or mace. You can keep the dba for the spec but using a super set on task would be much more effective. Also keep the mace/dds for when you want to spec, but the d long has a decent spec so it shouldn't be needed. Ezkaton
What would you guys reconmend for me to kill 35 bronze dragons? (new task) Should i keep my veracs, black mask, d long, d gauntlets (charged), and d boots for it (i have around +12 prayer bonus) (also i'll have the anti-dragon shield to make the firebreath attack count as nothing with the antifire pots), and also would my inventory of - 5 super str (to boost my str which is now 57 to around 65), 5 antifire, 10 prayer, 3 emergency shark, emergency tele tab, and ddp, be good enough for me to kill all 35? (i know i need the axe, 905gp, and slayer gem) Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
