it would be awesome if jagex could code in a music player to play music on your computer.

I cant use a chair, evidence that Lucien's men are sitting on them.

It would be really cool if you could select certain songs as "favorites" and make a shuffle playlist of all the favorited songs or a shuffled playlist of just all the songs you've unlocked.

What? Something like iTunes but made by Jagex that only plays Runescape music?

Oops, I thought we were talking about an in-game improvement to the current music player. My bad.

You guys seem pretty ignorant, but this will never, ever be possible on JAVA.

+ If you go to another computer, it'd have to download alot of data. (4-6mb a song)

They could call it Runetunes. lawls

Hmm, so a webbased music player. That overlaps onto runescape. Sounds interesting... But we can use our own music players...

LOOOL, and you think you won't waste that RAM in Runescape? How silly.

Once again, this is impossible in Java + too many technical issues + we can use our own players.

Its far from impossible in java, wouldn't be too hard even. From the OP's post its unclear if they mean a player where their music is uploaded to jagex's server (which would cause a massive influx of copyright lawsuits against jagex and a ridiculous strain on their bandwidth) or a player that would be nothing more than an exact clone of say..WMP or any other media player on a person's computer already, which would be redundant and pointless, since, they already have a media player.

You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

Eh, sure why not. I wouldn't use it though. I'd keep RS music in RS.

why not help players without good amounts of RAM? Or, not a good music player is on their computer.

1) People already have music players on their computers (and if you don't, you can easily download something for free, like windows media player, itunes, quickplayer...) making this idea pointles.

2) RAM is used to house temporary variables. While I'm no expert, I can't forsee much RAM being used when playing music in formats such as MP3 because it just requires the music file to be read and the corresponding electronic current (in varying levels) sent to the speakers. If WMP is slowing your computer down stop playing runescape on a calculator.

3) Having millions of people uploading and then streaming music from runescape's servers would cause a massive increase in bandwith use and thus cost.

4) No.

quit

^^ about your RAM theory.

The RAM that would be being used up would be because of the music player
