Smithing

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm currently 69 smithing, and have a goal of getting all my skills to 70 or 75+. I know smithing can be quite expensive, but is there any way that I could profit while training it? I'll probably be using morphic hammers to train it, I think I have about 17 of them right now.

Thanks in advance guys. ::'

Is that with buying the nats or making them?

Also, if I smithed th bars into mith plates and high alched them, how much would I be losing. (If I were making my own nats for superheating and high alching.)

the price i gave was buying nats (im f2p and cant make thats how i know)

loss for any plate bodys is really bad

mithril bar supplies approx 1.1k (if you rc your own nats that is)

5.5k for 5 mith bars +128 for another pureess>nat to alch

alches for 3120

5628-3120=2508

xp rates- 5bars smelt+smith=400smithing xp and 53x5+65=330

for 2.5k you gain 400 smith xp and 330 mage xp

decent imo but if you didnt make your own nats you would cost

total loss is 3054gp with bought nats

Well, I decided to take some morphic hammers and a bunch of mith and coal down to the blast furnace. I'm making mith bolts with it, and I should actually come out with a small profit of around 200k for using 3k ores I think. \'

Indeed, that is by far the best method from 60-73, except...

First; make sure that Mithril arrowtips aren't more profitable than Mithril bolts. You make 15x tips per bar, as opposed to 10x bolts per bar.

Currently, it stands 825/bar (arrowtips) to 830/bar (bolts). Though when I trained, arrowtips were significantly higher.

Whats best when I get to 73? Addy bolts? Where do I make those at since you can't unnote addy ore at the blast furnace?
