March 29, 200917 yr CoR v EoS Corruption and Echo of Silence matched up today in what we knew was going to be a very long and difficult fight. We were not disappointed in any way. This was a special moment for CoR - Chris1791, a member and leader for over 4 years stepped down today. This was our fight to send him off and of course we put a lot into the fight to make sure it happened. The fight began at a fast pace, with completely even starting opts. Despite the even start CoR clearly gained control. We rarely hit a low point for the entire first 7 hours. Didn't lose numbers, held a strong main pile with some of the best spamming I have seen from CoR in a long time. EOS were doing fine, but were struggling in areas like numbers and binders. This allowed us to gain a clear control and push them to their limits. However, we knew they would not be done - and are very good at preserving in the face of enormous pressure. They key point came around 12 hours into the fight when EOS had the upper hand in the fight. They had probably 80 people together against our 60. It was a very crucial moment during the fight and we managed to fight through the onslaught whilst EOS were doing very well, never giving up. As time went on, our numbers built up again (quite amazingly), and while EOS did well they couldnt keep up with our numbers. By the 13 or so hour mark we moved up again to 70 actives on TS and at this moment it was simply a game of chasing the dedicated EOS still returning. Soon after we got confirmation that they ended, not enough people at the fight to keep going. Thank you to DF for acing the early stages of the fight, you didnt allow NI to affect the fight when it could have been a real possibility. Thank you to all other ACers and please PM me if you did AC so I can give you a proper mention. This one was for Chris! Well done Corruption. Starting CoR: 290 opts (pic is taken a little early) EoS: 290 opts Ending CoR: 225 opts EoS: 0 Personally I was there from start to finish as a leader, I got 81 deaths and around 60 kills. Enjoyed it thoroughly and was proud to be a corruption member when I saw the dedication of my friends and clanmates. For chris! Proud Leader of the Corruption Clan. PM me to set up a fight or for any queries relating to my clan.
