BabyPunchers Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Looking through the Music section, I was kind of dismayed to not have one thread about one of the greatest, if not the greatest, Horror-Punk Bands of all time. The Misfits are famous for their catchy tunes, morbid lyrics and being one of the pioneers of the Punk-Rock/ Horror-Punk Genres. They're also one of the first Punk Rock bands to almost entirely steer clear of political messages in their songs and instead focusing on Horror movies and Science Fiction to inspire their songwriting. As the Misfits are one of my favorite bands, I was wondering what everyone else thought of them. I mean I have a Misfits shirt but I actually love them. This one kid who had the same shirt as me said that the old Misfits sucked... Ha. My favorite song is probably Bloodfeast. I also like She. I've never had much interest in them, but now that you've mentioned it, the fact that they remain politically neutral is quite respectable. Also, I hate it when people wear a shirt for a band they've never heard of or don't like. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. I also like She. hollywood babylon is muh favorite song by them. and teenagers from mars. and children in heat. but those two songs are like. identical. god dam. I love the misfits. Love Equals Death springs to mind. : But yes, I do like the old Misfits too.(Danzig era) Although I probably love the Graves era just as much. His vocals rock. Danzig is an amazing vocalist... isn't he living alone somewhere in the desert?
