Is a Macbook a good college laptop?

I've got a sony vaio all in one and it works amazingly, the cost was about 1200 usd, but I love it.

Look it up on google, it's really a cool computer, like something you've never seen before.

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

The main thing now is that Macs handle fonts better in their native OS, versus Windows.

How so?

And Ewww iPhoto. I can't imagine touching that eye-candied, everything's easy and making-your-photos-look-great-takes-no-creativity-nor-talent, point-and-click-and-it's-done app. It embodies what modern Macintoshes are all about.

I think it would be great with something similar to iPhoto on Windows.

I don't have the will nor the time to sit around with CorelDraw or Photoshop, so i shouldn't be able to make some funny looking photos?

I don't understand, you're saying you enjoy making your photos look good using other, more difficult to grasp software? And I said organize none-the-less. I never could grasp GIMP, because of layers, transparencies, and those checkerboard things representing the absence of color or something. Yet, I needed something better than MS Paint. iPhoto is pretty straight forward.

It has to do with anti-aliasing and such. Some notice it, others don't.

I follow gimp fine but it took baout 24 hours straight of practice and reading forums.

So what's the deal w/ the lawsuit?

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

Purposely ignoring issues plaguing an entire model line and for scamming me out of $955.83. I just want a refund. The $20,000+ is for legal fees. It's a really long story, but that's the gist of it.

I don't know of a major operating system that does not have both antialiasing and subpixel smoothing (Like Cleartype). I have noticed that Macs do use a different algorithm for it, but in my opinion it makes the fonts too wide. Anyway, Photoshop uses its own hinting methods independent of the operating system.

What can a Macbook do that my Vaio can't? Then look at the £500 price difference.

If you don't like Windows, stick Ubuntu on there.

And after filing a $20,000+ lawsuit against Dell I'd had enough of companies ripping me off.

 Is there a place where I can read about this? Judging from your writing, it looks like a good read.[/hide]
