aspeeder
Been back to slaying, and basically my question is should I use it to learn how to make rings of slaying, or should I wait until I have blocked all the tasks that I want to? I have yet to come across a task I despise with a burning passion (I use Chaeldar and Sumona on 10th), and I already know slayer helm and fletching (Fletching was a waste of points, I never use it #-o ) http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

Cptbaker08
If you don't have ne tasks you don't like then get the rings. I found the rings to be very useful for the teleports nad the ability to act as the gem. Its risking getting a steel task. Only Duradel gives steels as a task so no worry using Sumona and Chealdar. GeneralTedd
I would vote: No. Save your points to cancel the tasks, or buy the runes. [spoiler=Goals][] 30m[] Chaotic Rapier[] Chaotic Crossbow[] Chaotic Kiteshield[] 50m[] D Claws

Well then I guess the OP hasn't had them as a task yet, and if so doesn't mind doing them. Like i said earlier, if there isn't a task you don't like doing then get the rings. They're very useful and you can get assisted to use them. ultimatballr
I do remember Chaeldar assigning me an iron task a while ago, but I just cancelled it. I've heard different things, like some people say to block steels but not irons, why are you being so adamant about me blocking irons as well? Because they are a slow task. Slower tasks mean slower slayer exp. That's pretty much why people block Irons and Steels. I personally blocked them both because I dislike doing them, and they are rather slow for exp. Apparently, my signature was to big.
AndyPandy
Why chaeldar anyway? Your stats are fine for duradel. I'm 80 80 77 and I do duradel and cope fine. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Sure, I'd cope fine, but with Chaeldar its much less of a hassle, and the supplies cost less... Though I think I should do Sumona and Duradel every 10th once I hit 110+ combat :-w http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

nathanw16
Sorry to hijack the thread, but what are the bonuses (i.e. how many extra points) you get every 10th and 50th task? In Runescape, you don't die from being stabbed with a large sword, however you are knocked unconscious with a blow from a baguette even when wearing a helmet. Tribbleman
Back to the OP's question... I would say no to the ring, mainly because you don't have the crafting lvl (75) needed to make it :P It would be kinda pointless to spend the 300 points now when you cant reap the rewards at all for a while at least : PROUD Owner of Quest cape since 12/25/08 99 Attack Achieved 6/5/09Drops: Dragon Boots x5, Dragon Chainbody x1 (Dusties) Abyssal Whip x3, Abyssal Head x1Best single TT Reward: Saradomin Platebody + Zammy Page
Zaaps1
I've bought that ability and I have NO regrets. A simple, right-off-the-bat list of all the benefits: 1) If your house is in Polly, you get house teleports for only 20gp 2) Closest tele to a fairy ring (slayer dungeon) 3) Canafis tele (slayer tower) 4) Quickest way to reobtain Tarn's Diary 5) Quickest way, except the 500k sceptre, to the desert, quickest way to the northern desert, quickest way to a Carpet station 6) Saves 1 invent space on tasks 7) Extremely useful teleports to two of the most commonly used slayer spots (Polly Well and Tower), takes you literally to their doorstep 8) If you don't have Trollhiem or Ectophial, one of the closest teleports to a Summoning Ob., also one of the cheapest. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF: YOU DON'T NEED 75 CRAFTING! It's assistable \ ~It's Super Effective!
