August 16, 200520 yr We've all seen the lists before of what monsters drop them. I got my first 2 clues at green dragons... First clue came after 5 drags and second after 100. I've bought a ring of wealth since and i've killed 250 dragons ever since. Havne't gotten a single clue :( Any ideas which monsters seem to drop it more often? And if you want, which monsters would be best for me to train on? Im level 106, 99 strenght, 83 attack, 76 def. I plan to use meele to fight them. I have very low ranged level.
August 16, 200520 yr No need to switch monsters. I kill a lot of Blue Dragons. Sometimes I don't get a clue for 300 dragons other times I've come back from a treasure trail and got a new clue on the 5th or 6th dragon. Seems to be totally random. Most monsters listed in the guide drop them frequently, I just haven't been getting many good rewards lately. I get about 8 bad rewards for each good one.

August 22, 200520 yr if anything row decreases clue chance because it gets drop with higher gp value. CANE Just to be different. Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.
August 23, 200520 yr i managed to get a clue scroll after 3-4 blue dragons one day... havne't got one since from them but i plan on going back... since i got guthix pl8 from that scroll
August 23, 200520 yr the only lvl 3 clue I've gotten is from jellies, it was on like the 50th of them... Playing since February 2003
August 23, 200520 yr from my experiences with clues ive found that jellies drop them quite often for me, as well as greater demons while ranging them :)
August 23, 200520 yr Author from what i've heard fire giants don't drop them at all :S I've killed over 200 of those and got none so i switched back to dragons :)
August 23, 200520 yr Fire Giants definitely do not drop clue scrolls. They do drop drag meds. though. 8)

Check the Treasure Trails Guide. i was fighting fire giants in brimhaming cave.... and from what i've heard fire giants don't drop them at all :S I've killed over 200 of those and got none so i switched back to dragons McGuff is correct. Fire Giants do NOT drop clue scrolls. Again, this information is available in the Treasure Trails Guide. Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. Use it!
September 11, 200520 yr hell hounds, hands down, best one to train on for clues... and the only thing they drop is level 3 clues... so its easy to spot it
