I think I have a brain problem.

Featured Replies

Over the past years(since my teenage years) Everytime I hear a sound, A song would play in my head that is similar to the song. And I can't stop it in til the song over, or worse, when I don't know the lyrics and it just loops intil another sound causes another song.

I don't know the syndrome or anything, but this gives me MASSIVE headaches because I don't want to hear the song.

And it doesn't stop there, when I hear someone say a lyric, its the same thing. Hell, everytime I flush my toilet, it reminds me of the ending of one of the Kingdom Hearts songs. When I see someone doing something, It also sets off a brain flashback(like a scrub moment) of a thing I've seen in a video.

This haunts me as when I had a bad experience. a slightest reneactment reminds me of it, and I get sad :(

Is this normal?

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

People in OT eat glass when they are bored.

That actually sound pretty awesme. But if you're extremely worried you should probably ask a psycologist or someone along those lines.

I have songs play in my head from nothing.

It could mean you are bored at the time and are looking for a distraction. Its pretty fun having a song come into your head. (And while typing this, Any Means Necessary by HammerFall came into mind (mostly the lyrics at the start))

[bleep] you pureprayer, you're an [wagon].

Anyway, that doesn't sound real pleasant, and I really suggest talking to someone about it, we're not all PhD grads in psychology lol.

What did I do O:)

You can just read the name of the video.

If you listen to songs you haven't listened to before, you wont remember them.

Yeah, like no one here has heard of the Mario themesong #-o

You shouldn't have done this, you know the guy gets headaches from this sort of thing and you choose one of the most annoying songs of all to let him see and remember.

BTW: when I have a song in my head that I forget part of the lyrics to or that I don't remember fully, it usually loops the part I know over and over and over lol

Its a psychological disorder.

You can either listen to more music to stop the need for music in your head 24/7 or stop music alltogether.

PS: Its not my fault it says "super mario bros theme song" in the corner. I could of did a worse one.

Not to be a drag, but now I got that in my head along with the mental video of a naruto flash of Garra singing it. :wall:

Well, not to be a [bleep] or anything but there really is nothing (really) we can do, other then suggest professional help, which I'm sure you have thought about and if not, I would.

Way to be a douche.

I wouldn't say that's unnormal. While i'm not thinking of a song every time I flush my toilet I will get songs stuck in my head sometimes.

I think you should just lock this thread, before you have a giant melange of songs flowing through your head, or constantly switching. sort of like that mp3 trapical made.

Just letting you know that getting random songs stuck in your head is a normal thing but the way you describe it sounds a little severe. Try occupying your mind with trivial things.

Cool, I have the same exact issue. I never consider it bad though, I think it's pretty cool. What's so wrong with it?

Did you read the first post... -.-

Haha! You're exactly as me!

It's damn annoying. If i'm "hearing a song inside my head" and don't remember the name of it, i go insane. I always end up searching the web and listening songs until i hear the one i'm hearing.

I don't know how many times this has caused me to be awake in bed when i should be sleeping, even worse, if i don't check for the song, i do it the next day, because the bloody thing is still there!

That's why every song I like, I make sure I know the lyrics to...or at least well enough to finish the song. ::'

May the presents of our lord and savior, Santa, be with you this holiday season!
