[bleep] you pureprayer, you're an [wagon].

Anyway, that doesn't sound real pleasant, and I really suggest talking to someone about it, we're not all PhD grads in psychology lol.

I just wanna know if anyone else has it.=( and if its even a disorder.

I'll do some research on it for you man. Gimme an hour.

EDIT: Is it exclusively sound based or is it more like any stimulus can trigger this sort of thing?

OH S***! He/she/it is back!

I can stop a song playing in my head (but it takes alot of effort to stop it).

If you're really worried, I wouldn't go as far as seeing a doctor (yet) butgo try a therapist/psychologist.

Have you tried composing or writing music?

I have the same problem for the fact that I often have at least 3-4 melodies running through my head and the only way to get it out is to write it out. It's given me a new thing to do during school and has helped me concentrate better as it has cleared my head. I'm a bit worried over the fact that it causes pain however. Could you be more descriptive of where the pain is located and have you seen a neurologist or another specialist over this?

I would consider that studying habit actually. Turn your professors lectures into rap lyrics. Sorry I can't be of more help, but hey, if you can't beat it, you might as well use it.

sound based.

Thanks for trying to help me <3:

Edit: It gives me headaches alot when I have a bad day at school, or when I walk home in bad weather. Some say its just a case of the mondays or lack of sleep.

edit2: The whole study habit thing, I have a big memory(which is why I have over 500 sounds, videos, and such in my head that trigger off to sounds/sights). Im not lying either, I don't take notes at school because I memorize it so easily.(not trying show off)

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

No problem, distracts me from my depravity and depression. Glad for something to do.

EDIT: Can't find anything classed as an auditory disorder or memory disorder that remotely resembles your situation. Might be a manifestation of something else with more diverse symptoms. Or it could be nothing, but I has the sound of a problem to me (Though I'm just a well-versed 17 year old, not a professional psychologist).

EDIT2: Making some progress. In interests of privacy I'd be glad to take this to PMs.

Are the songs clear (like when you listen to them in headphones) or do you just have a faint memory of them playing in your head?

Musical Hallucinations in Patients with Lyme Disease.

Southern Medical Journal. 96(7):711-715, July 2003.

Stricker, Raphael B. MD; Winger, Edward E. MD

Abstract:

Musical hallucinations are poorly understood auditory hallucinations that occur in patients with otologic or neurologic diseases.

We report the first cases of musical hallucinations in two patients with neurologic Lyme disease.

Both subjects were women with clinical and laboratory evidence of chronic Lyme disease, progressive neurologic dysfunction, and abnormal magnetic resonance imaging of the brain.

There was no evidence of hearing loss in either case.

Musical hallucinations had a sudden onset and took the form of patriotic or operatic music.

The auditory hallucinations disappeared with intravenous (IV) antibiotic therapy in both patients, but the hallucinations recurred when IV antibiotic therapy was discontinued in one case.

Response to therapy was accompanied by an increase in the CD57 lymphocyte subset in one patient, whereas recurrent hallucinations were associated with persistently low CD57 levels in the other case.

We conclude that musical hallucinations may be associated with neurologic Lyme disease.

These auditory hallucinations appear to respond to IV antibiotic therapy.

Patients with musical hallucinations of unknown cause should be tested for infection with the Lyme disease spirochete.

Damn, that would get extremely annoying, sounds like it'd be fun for the first week or two though. You should see someone if you think it's serious enough.

PS: Do you use IE? And if you do, what song plays when you change pages?

Since you describe it as a sound "in your head," rather than anything like an external stimulus, I bet it's a case of "earworms" rather than musical hallucinations.

"Most people experience the phenomenon at some point. Some people, however, experience earworms more often. Among them are musicians (versus non-musicians), women (versus men), and individuals who are prone to worry."

From: Earworms Research - Virtual Clinic

The site also recommends some things to try in order to get rid of earworms.

If it's really bothering you and the headaches persist, take it to a health professional.

I'm similar, maybe. I have, at all times throughout every day, music in my head. Always. Even when I first wake up. Often it's not a whole song-right now it's just the chorus of Disposable Heroes by Metallica. And sometimes, if it's there for a while, it'll get messed up and sound close to nothing like how it' supposed to, and that gets annoying. Can't say a sound sets me off, or that it gives me headaches, though. I just have constant earworms, I suppose. But it can be replaced with another song if I hear one.
